November 3rd thru the 9th is National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week.
National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week is a special time dedicated to recognizing the invaluable work done by animal shelters. These shelters serve as safe havens for millions of animals in need. They offer a second chance to pets that might otherwise face dire situations. This week highlights the efforts of shelter staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to care for these animals and find them loving homes. The event emphasizes the importance of animal shelters in our communities and encourages public support. Supporting animal shelters this week and beyond is crucial. Many shelters operate on limited budgets and rely heavily on donations and volunteers.
By raising awareness, donating supplies, or adopting a pet, we can all contribute to their mission. ☺️

October 9th is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day!
On October 9th, we recognize National Pet Obesity Awareness Day to remind people to keep their pets healthy. When your pooch or kitty starts getting a little plump, you know it’s time for a few things . More walks, less table scraps, enrichment and play time, and perhaps even an additional visit to the vet to make sure they’re still healthy. While a rotund Rover of Fluffy can be a cute or funny sight, that extra layer for lovin’ can have some serious consequences. Thanks to National Pet Obesity Day, we can now all learn more about this problem among our beloved pets.

October 1st thru the 7th is National Walk Your Dog Week!

With temperatures cooling down, it is a good time to get exercise. It is all about getting out and about with your dog to improve both their mental and physical health and yours. It promotes the health of your pet and is useful in quelling behavior issues. When they are active and stimulated, they are less likely to be destructive and exhibit unfavorable traits.
