Don’t Let Fleas & Ticks Take a Winter Break!

Even as the weather cools down, fleas and ticks are still really active— and we’re seeing a rise in tick-borne diseases at our clinic, including Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and Ehrlichiosis. We have had several positives tests these past couple of weeks.

👉 These parasites can survive in mild winter temps and can latch onto your pets during fall hikes, backyard playtime, or even quick potty breaks.
✅ Keep your pet protected ALL year-round with consistent veterinary approved flea and tick prevention.

If you’re not sure which prevention is best, or if your pet is due for a refill, give us a call today!

Ever wonder why your vet might refer your pet elsewhere? 🐾

These decisions are made with care — it’s not because they don’t want to help! Some cases need specialized equipment, extra time and/or staffing that just isn’t available that day.

With high demand of care and a shortage of veterinary professionals, urgent care spots can fill up quickly at your regular vet office. Sometimes a referral is the fastest way to get your pet the timely care they need, preventing prolonged discomfort for your pet or more complex treatment.

It’s not about inconvenience — it’s about doing what’s best for your furry family member ❤️

If your vet has to use a muzzle it doesn’t mean that you have a “bad” dog or that you are a bad owner.

Veterinary professionals use them as a safety tool—think… a seatbelt in a car. If dogs are scared, injured, or sick they can and DO bite. A bite can lead to infection, even become life-threatening and can take a veterinary professional out of work for extended periods of time which affects staffing and impacts care for other pets.

Safety first keeps your pet and veterinary teams protected! 💛

Ever wonder why vet care costs what it does — and why it seems to keep rising? 🐾 Vet bills can feel pretty overwhelming, as pet parents ourselves, we have to manage them too 💙

Every visit involves more than you might think: costly advanced medical equipment, safe facilities, lifesaving supplies, lab tests, medications, and fair pay for skilled, licensed staff — all paid out-of-pocket by the clinic, without insurance or government support.

Caring for a patient who can’t tell you what’s wrong — and often won’t cooperate — takes extra hands, time, expertise and support. Your vet team is your pet’s dentist, surgeon, pharmacist, radiologist, dermatologist and hospice facility and sometimes even urgent care or ER care— often providing multiple professional services in one single visit!

Your out-of-pocket medical care payments directly support the people, skills, and resources needed to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate veterinary care every day🩺💛

Pro tip: Pet insurance and pre-approval for care credit or any credit card that you designate only for vet costs, can make future visits easier to manage.
