Still doing European Mounts.

Good morning, afternoon ,evening . I want to thank each and everyone of you who made Hirsch Taxidermy the success it became throughout the years. Due to career, altering circumstances, starting this season, Hirsch Taxidermy is only taking in European Mounts. Any mounts still in my position from last year or the previous year will be completed as promised. Good luck out there. I like the post with somebody says harvest what makes your heart happy. But mostly stay safe out there.

I’m only taking in a limited amount of shoulder mounts this year but I will take Euromounts all the way till the end of the season

We make sure if the antler burs get whitened during the whitening process we get them back to a matching color they originally were.

Be safe mad make lots of memories tomorrow..

The rut has started in most areas I travel through. Bucks during the day 😃😉
If you get a chance to sit all day starting this wknd, I would. Shot most of my bigger bucks between 11:00 -13:00

Finally , thank you for your patience these two were definitely a chalange do to the altering of the forms and repair work to the horns. But they are done and it was a pleasure to work on them. I love a little challenge here and there.

I have reached full capacity for shoulder mounts this year.

Producing a good Euro using the simmering method is not as clean as using beetles but can be very close if done correct.
We do not paint the skull white what you see here is the end product once it has gone through the whitening drying, repair and final cleaning process.
We also make sure that the burs are back to original color if the whitening solution whitened the bur and or immediate area around it.
Last, when simmering we make sure that after the skull is dry we remove all cartilage possible that might have not been visible when the skull was still wet.

Ever had that rack that you wanted to get mounted but didn’t? You left it outside for it to completely lose its color?
If you want to get it mounted either shoulder or euro we can bring back the color.
