3 friends… pretty good looking little crew. I didn’t get video/pictures of all the foals this trip. That is our goal for next trip.
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

CS Little Scooter (5 years old).
CS sold him just before he turned two. We just got an update on him today. He sure is a big, pretty boy and good at his job.
I am teaching a horse that was taught to lay down but not to stay down or to rest at positions of laying down.
Gentling and haltering process begins
The gentling and haltering process begins again. This little filly was born a couple weeks ago (the older foals have already been haltered and had this done before their mama’s were turned out with the stud the 1st of June).
“Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”
Psalms 51:11-12 NKJV
1873
CS Since 1873 will be a year old in May. He has been purchased by Jamison Ranch, Merle High, and Gerald High as a stud prospect. We sure are proud of him! Born the year of our CS Cattle Co. 150th anniversary.
”Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.“
Proverbs 22:6 NKJV
”Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens; Old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.“
Psalms 148:9-13 NKJV
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our crew to yours!
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Water is running everywhere! Tanks are full . Praise the Lord!
Congrats Quinny and Maddie Sue! Reserve Colorado state champions and they won the average at the finals! Proud of our CS girl, Maddie!
Branding at CS Crow Creek division… nothing better than working with great friends and family. Joe Serna on 5 year old CS gelding, Cajun! They make a good team!
Lucas Long and Reata working hard. Lucas bought our CS girl as a yearling and now she is 3! Time sure does fly! Always nice to be updated on how our CS horses are doing at their new homes, but Lucas is our neighbor, so we got to see their progress in person at our CS branding. You have done a phenomenal job, Lucas!
Update from Russel and Fancy! No bridle necessary. Great job! Fancy turns 3 in May.
Gradee and Dakota Joe!
Gradee and Dakota Joe are making a lot of progress. Gradee is 13 and Dakota Joe is his first colt to start. Dakota Joe won’t be 2 until June. Great job, Gradee! Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress. Dakota Joe is by JA Sundust Colonel and out of a Rooster Shorty/Playgun mare.
Turning the crew out this morning. Good looking group. Proud of them.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
