Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

Did you know that our owner, Shelby, has not only been a pet sitter since 2018, but that she’s also been in the veterinary field since 2017 and is currently enrolled in school to become a registered veterinary technician?! Because of this, she understands how difficult it can be for those in this field to 1) get time off of work to go out of town and 2) find someone that can handle the legions of animals that we tend to acquire at a reasonable price. Because of this, Swamp Style proudly offers a 25% discount to those working in the veterinary field, not just during Tech Week, but 365 days a year!

FAQs!

• What exactly is Swamp Style Mobile Pet Services?
- We are dedicated and experienced animal lovers that offer overnight pet sitting in YOUR home! We also offer add-ons such as baths and nail trims during the stay. Check out our other pinned posts to find out more about the people behind the name 😃

• What is your service area?
- We cover anywhere within a half hour drive of Oakley

• What are your prices?
- Overnight sittings start at $50/night for the first pet and $30/night for each additional dog or $18/night for each additional cat. Nail trims are $18 (or $25 with dremel), ear cleanings are $15, and baths start at $25.

• Do you only do dogs and cats?
- Nope! Between the two of us we have experience with pretty much everything: rodents, reptiles, farm animals, etc. Just ask!

• What’s with the name?
- Shelby started Swamp Style in April of 2021 while living in New Orleans. When she moved to Cincinnati in May of 2022, the name moved with her!

Griffin has been a close friend of mine since 2018 and has watched my own zoo of animals many times. He adopted a kitten named Jyn in 2019 who ended up testing positive for FIV, but thanks to him, she’s still thriving and living her best life, so he has experience with animals that require a little additional care. Book with Griffin in the month of April for any dates in 2023 to receive 10% off!

Taking a look back on some of my friends from March! It was a very busy month, I had back-to-back bookings and actually sat for 25 days in a row! April is almost booked solid as well and I’ve also already accepted bookings for May, June, August, and even October and November. So if you’re planning a trip, don’t wait till the last minute to contact Swamp Style!

With that being said, I’ll have a very exciting announcement later today!

Hi, I just wanted to take a minute to reintroduce myself! I’m Shelby, the owner of Swamp Style, and next to me is Rhine, she’s my manager.

I’ve been in the veterinary field for almost six years and I’m currently taking classes to become a registered veterinary technician. I decided to start Swamp Style nearly two years ago while living in New Orleans because of the need that I saw for dog sitters that people could trust as well as to provide convenience with at-home baths, nail trims, and medication administration. Now living in Cincinnati, I have plans to really help that dream grow!

Rhine is a German Shepherd mix who turns four this year and she oversees all of the major details, like doing treat checks before I leave the house.

Hey guys! I know that most of you already know, but for those who don’t, Swamp Style is MOVING! On May 9th we will be relocating to Cincinnati, OH. Thank you all for the love and support you’ve given since I started this business. I am excited about this new adventure, but I’m going to miss all of you so much!
