• 7 pups

I didn’t post much here, but this litter is LONG awaited.
I have 4 dwarfs from a friend that I kept as pets when I took a hiatus from breeding early-mid 2020. The line they’re from is from a good friend of mine and they are absolutely incredible rats. My heart rat, Kahlua, was the grandmother of these pups.

My friend lost this line to rat bite fever, as many people lost their rodents.

We tested my males and they tested negative so we scrambled to try and save the line!

My males are old (Squirrel, the father of this litter is 3 and his father is 3.5) so there was concern they weren’t able to breed. Squirrel, despite being a first time dad, got Gin pregnant within a month : ) These babies are a revival of a line that was almost considered lost. They’re really something special!

Most of these will be going to my friend! I may keep one. Brandy (agouti capped) is currently paired with Squirrel. Rosé (amber berk) and Whiskey (Cinnamon broken hood) are on standby to be paired.

Hey, Sage here. Long time, no post. Ready for a big update?

Cinnamon has moved to California (miss ya bud ;_;), but I am breeding on a small scale until I move out this summer!

Right now I’m working with Cinnamon’s variegated (I’ve outcrossed, so markings are still in the works as you can tell lol). I’m probably going to start working with siamese and merle again soon! I also had some fuzzy hairless pop up.

I’ve also been collaborating to bring back my friend’s old rat line! I hope to work with dwarf again (hopefully siamese dwarf) in the future!

Squirrel (black eyed marten) is the father of the line at 3 years old! He’s fathered a litter with Gin (black eyed white) and there’s plans to breed him with Whiskey (cinnamon broken hood), Rosé (amber berk), and Brandy (agouti capped)! Most will go to my bud, but the lineage will eventually be the foundation for my rat lines.

Right now, I’m not really planning on selling mice. I’ve gotten a lot busier since graduating college, so it’s not worth it sometimes to sell $5 mice. I might sell some, but increase prices to $10 per mouse if there’s interest? Maybe a bit more depending on the mouse.

I *do* plan on selling rats in the future. For now, I figured I’d just post updates and cute rodents!
