DO YOU WANT A PETER PAN PITTIE? Meet Cookie, the girl who never grew up

Cookie is an 18 month old, female, 60lb Staffordshire bull terrier looking for a new home. She is potty trained and good with kids, dogs and cats. She has been well looked after - spayed and kept up to date on shots, flea and worming. No health issues other than some mild pittie allergies.

She is being rehomed through no fault of her own, her owners circumstances have changed and are no longer suitable for her - despite trying hard to make it work. Cookie really is just a big ol' puppy. She loves to lick you and other dogs. She still really has that high puppy energy, loves playing and walks. Wags her tail so hard her whole body wiggles. She has separation anxiety which needs to be worked on. Regular CBD oil helps.

The distribution is for people who are struggling to feed their pets and it will be a drive-thru, so please stay in your cars and drive up to the front door (you will see our van and a decorated table there) and we will give you food in your car. Mariah and Jerry there wasn’t a dry eye in the house tonight. The only answer is: of course. There was no other way it would have been. Both of you and Tony became family. Being part of the village for a dog like Tonio was every reason we set out to do this in the first place. He was such a part of the jr4dogz experience there is going to be an empty space moving forwards.

Today is resident Tennessees 7th “birthday”/2nd “gotcha” day 💗

I adopted Tennessee from Ohio Alleycat Resource just after we got married for my 32nd birthday. I had always wanted to adopt my own cat with extra needs and I finally had the stability to do so. He chose me at the shelter.

He was rescued from the euth list at a Tennessee shelter. He was skinny with patchy fur, had just had his eye and a mouth mass removed, and had old break in his tail. I adored him. Just after I adopted him he developed pnumonia from an underlying bartonella infection and he was at the vet hospital for a week. He recovered but has permanent fairly severe asthma. He gets an inhaler twice a day, 3 tablets a day and an emergency inhaler. He gets respitory infections easily and has had a lot of antibiotics and another pnumonia hospitalisation since then.

It may partly be because inside his head is nothing but fluff, but it doesn’t bother him any. All he knows is boundless love. He loves me, he loves Jonathan, he loves the dogs (resident and visiting), he loves the foster kittens and the human visitors — and most of all he loves our other cat Garfield.
