Bruno is a 21 week old Dachshund who has learned a fun trick: sitting on his dad’s shoulder, like a parrot!

Bruno was a little too wiggly today due to all the excitement and, of course, treats. He was able to lean on his dad’s shoulder to give us an idea! 🐶

MEET SHADOW! 🩶🤍

Meet Shadow! He and his brother, Blueberry lost their home when their person's living situation had to change. At first meeting, Shadow is cautious, but he quickly warms up and loves attention. He loves to play and race around, and especially loves canned cat food. Shadow's estimated date of birth is April, 2023.

Shadow and Blueberry are best buds and would not be happy separated, so they must be adopted together. They will be the best ever, addition to their new, forever family!

MEET BLUEBERRY🫐

Blueberry, along with his brother, Shadow, lost his home when his person could no longer care for them. Blueberry doesn't know a stranger, and loves lots of petting and attention. He's playful and very curious, and loves canned cat food. His estimated date of birth is April, 2023.

The brothers get along great, are very bonded and must be adopted together. Their new family will be so lucky to have them!

MEET PEACHES! 🍑

Peaches was found outside as a stray. He is very friendly and gets along well with other cats, although we're not sure about dogs.

He is snuggly and affectionate and happy to be living the life of luxury inside now.

Peaches is approximately 5 years old, a medium to long hair, buff/orange male cat.
He would love to spend some time with you just hanging out and chilling.

MEET CHARLIE BROWN! 🤎

Charlie is a 1 year old terrier mix, and currently weighs 14lbs.

Charlie thrives in a home with structure and discipline. He is a very smart boy and learns quickly. Charlie does well with his foster sibling but does prefer to get most of the attention. He loves to go outside and run laps in the backyard. Charlie’s favorite thing to do is to snuggle and he prefers to sleep under the blanket with his foster family. He enjoys a good car ride and knows how to be a good boy while in the car. Charlie finds it hard to contain his excitement when it comes time to eat and will show off his high jump skills. He has been great with his potty habits and has had very few accidents in his foster home.

MEET BLOSSOM! 🌷

Special Girl needs a Special Home

Meet BLOSSOM! Blossom is a 3-year-old Lab mix weighing about 45 pounds. She was originally pulled from a high intake shelter saved from euthanasia. Blossom loves attention and will try to get all of it she can from everyone she meets. She loves all humans and will look at you with her big beautiful brown eyes and make you melt. When it comes to other dogs she is in fear/protect mode which makes a home with other dogs or apartment living impossible. Blossom would need a home where she can be the only dog. Someone willing to train her and/or knowledge of working with dogs would be ideal. She is a smart pup that rarely barks and has quickly learned basic commands.

MEET BUCKEYE! 💙

Hi everyone, I’m Buckeye and I am the coolest dog on the block, just ask me! I am about a year old and weigh in at a mighty 22bs. I was recused from a hoarding situation early this year and am happy to finally have a little space to myself. I am looking for a homie to share their crib with me.

Ideal candidates:

Low key quiet house with limited residents. I’ve had the wild and rowdy and am ready to move past that faze in my life!

No kids, especially teen boys, my current crashing pad has a smelly teen boy, and I just don’t think I like those two-legged creatures.

We can hang together and if ya wanna be close I might be cool with that sometimes, but I like my own space.

Speaking of space, having an area to call my own is a must! I have a large crate that is only for me and I LOVE IT. I am great at claiming found objects and taking them to my space. If you happen to be looking for something you left laying out, well finders keepers! You can take it back if you really need it but come on you left it out for me, didn’t you?

If you got another dog, we will most likely be pals. I’m used to having a pack with me and not so good with this human bonding thing yet. My fave is just hanging with my dawgs in the yard at my current crib.

MEET ZOEY! 🌸💕

Zoey is roughly 3 years old. She had a puppy before she came to HART, but she is fixed and ready to start a new life being the center of attention! She is a spunky hound mix who loves to play and cuddle. She does great on a leash and will follow you around the house so she can curl up right next to you. She would do well with a big yard or a family that can walk her often.

Zoey was doing well with potty training and showed improvement, but she needs further training. She is crate trained to be in the crate for a few hours, however she needs further help to sleep through the night in the crate. She's extremely curious and nosy.

It's very important that Zoey is the only pet in the home. She plays very well with other dogs, but she exhibits issues with resource guarding and doesn't like to share her food, toys, or people with other animals once she has bonded with her people.

MEET PEANUT! 🥜

Meet Peanut!! Peanut is a beautiful 4 year old shepherd mix and weighs 63 pounds. This beautiful girl found herself and her 2 six month old puppies at a high kill shelter on the euthanasia list. The day all 3 were set to be euthanized her 2 puppies were saved but she was not. Minutes away from being killed she began to have another litter of puppies. That litter of 7 puppies saved her life for a few more weeks.

When her time was up at the foster home, she and the 2 puppies left were set to go back to the high kill shelter where they would again, be on the euthanasia list. Peanut and her 2 puppies were rescued and came to Ohio to look for their forever homes. Peanut does not have to worry ever again about being back at that shelter and wondering if someone was going to step in and save her life. She is safe and has been given a second chance to find her forever home and the loving family that she deserves

Peanut is an amazing girl who loves nothing more than to be in a yard with several balls or to be snuggling up against her human. Again, she loves balls and can be outside all day long playing catch if given the opportunity. She is still very much a puppy herself in that she does love to play and be active. She does well with walks but can pull at times in the leash. She is crate and house trained and loves chewy toys and treats. Peanut would be an amazing addition to any family. She just wants to love and be loved.

MEET LENNOX! 💛

Lennox, born Oct 2022, a German Shepard Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is looking for his forever people. Lennox is a very active boy who will do well with clear instructions and consistency. He understands the words “no, stay, sit, back off, leave it, drop it, house, and done”. He would really enjoy having a human best bud to play games with and run around in the yard. He loves a good tennis ball and can play for hours. He needs training to walk without pulling, gets excited when he sees dogs his own size and will chase cats. It is recommended not to have cats in his new home. In his foster home, he has a fenced in yard, but does not like to be out on his own. He also lives with an older dog. Introduction to other companion dogs should be slow and in a calm environment. He really wants someone to play ball with him. He will need more work on “house’ during the workday and overnight. But he does fine if left out of the crate during the workday. He does not chew on furniture or destroy things but has a cute habit of taking one shoe of a pair into the living room with him while his people are gone. He would thrive in an active family who could take him out for several walks or play fetch. He is a loving boy with a big heart, loves to cuddle on the couch, and did we mention he loves his tennis balls.

MEET MARBLES 🐈‍⬛

Marbles is a 2-year-old white and black, domestic short hair, female who is spayed and up to date on vaccinations and negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

Marbles is well adapted to other cats, kids and some dogs. She was part of a TNR (trap, neuter and release) colony, when it was discovered that she was very friendly, and we couldn't bear to see her released back outside. So, HART brought her into the rescue to help her find a forever home.

She is very affectionate and friendly, and looking for her best friend.

MEET CALLIOPE! 💕

Calliope is the softest, sweetest kitten ever! She loves to be pet and held, will head butt your hand for more attention, and will nuzzle into you.

She is very playful and loves to chase wand toys. She is an excellent jumper and loves to play on the cat tree.

Calliope loves her siblings and would love to be adopted with one of them or into a house with another friendly cat to play and snuggle with. She is good with friendly dogs and kids and will make a wonderful addition to your family!

Calliope is considered a domestic short hair, brown tabby. Her estimated date of birth is December 2023.
