Our efforts are funded by our small on-site pet supply store and the generosity of our patrons. The Ohio Pet Sanctuary is a temporary home for animals of varying species who need shelter and food while waiting for their forever home. Happy Whatsit Wednesday from Sassy! This 1.5yo girl did not play well with the other ferrets in the home so she came to us to help her find a new one. She is just one of three ferrets we currently have available for adoption.

It's Caturday and we'd like to feature the good boy, Spice. Due to his anxiety, Spice has been with us for 8 months and counting. He isn't destructive or aggressive. He may hiss if you move to quickly around him, but we have plenty of videos just like this one to prove that he really is sweet when he learns to trust you. Most importantly, he really wants another cat who will play with him. He frequently attempts to get old, arthritic Pepper to play but she won't have it. We know someone out there will give this sweetheart the chance he deserves.

Happy Whatsit Wednesday from Izzy the tortoise! This 10 year old Russian tort has been with us for three months and counting. She has a mild beak deformity but it doesn't slow her down or interfere with hear eating.
