Martha and Gus are hosting the third annual "A Very Tabby Thanksgiving" Canned Food Drive this November. The kitties are served over 125 cans of food a day, so our goal this year will be 3,750 cans (enough for each day in November). The adults like Friskies and Fancy Feast canned food and the kittens like Fancy Feast kitten food but any canned cat food counts toward our goal! Drop offs can be done any day between 10AM - 4PM or you can purchase online using the Chewy or Amazon wish list. Help Martha and Gus serve a special Thanksgiving Treat to all of their roomies -- thank MEW!!

Meet Milkshake! This sweet boy has CH or cerebellar hypoplasia. It’s a neurological disorder in cats that affects the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance, coordination, and fine motor skills. It causes uncoordinated movements, tremors, and jerky movements. CH is non-progressive, meaning it doesn't get worse with age, and it's not contagious or painful. Symptoms become more apparent when kittens start walking and standing at four to six weeks old. CH is most often caused by the mother cat contracting the feline panleukopenia virus while pregnant and passing it on to her kittens. Other possible causes include: Trauma to the kittens during development, Malnutrition during pregnancy, Inflammatory conditions contracted by the mother, and Infections in the first few weeks after birth. Milkshake was found an adult underweight stray. He’s 2.5 years old, fully vetted and is very happy to sit on your lap and cuddle. He loves treats and head scratches, but doesn’t care for being picked up. He does well with other cats. If interested in meeting him email [email protected]
