A week with Banks aka my B mans! Dal Auntie mode was activated ▶️ Truly a gem of a pup who keeps me busy & smiling always. From weekly walks to our first sleep over 🖤🤍 Some darn good adventures and naps were had with this spotted boy. His fav new obsession, a sockball.

It’s something no pet parent ever wants to think about… but every day I see loose dogs running around Charleston — and it crushes me💔

Between daily walks and overnight sits, I’ve helped reunite several lost dogs with their families and have come across more strays than I can count. Sometimes it’s just an open gate, a broken latch, or a quick bolt of excitement that leads to heartbreak.

That’s why this post isn’t just about awareness — it’s about preparedness 🐾
With a few simple steps, we can all do our part to help prevent pets from going missing and make it easier to bring them home if they ever do.

✨Extra reminders:
• Always make sure your pet’s microchip and ID tags are up to date
• Have clear, recent photos of your pets from all angles
• Let your dog walker or sitter know if your pup (or cat!) is an escape artist and what to watch for
• Double check gates, doors, and fences before leaving your pet outside
• Use GPS collars, smart ID tags, and reflective gear for extra peace of mind

✨ Meet Howie, the golden retriever who’s been one of my dog walking buddies since he was just a lil pup back in April. This past week, he got to experience his very first Peace & Paws staycation! 💛

Between our daily walks, obedience training sessions (to make sure we established that I was the one calling the shots 😉), and endless playtime with his favorite toys, we built an even deeper bond. Of course, true to golden fashion, he did try to steal my socks and even my favorite hoodie—apparently, sharing clothes is part of friendship in his book. 🧦🐾

👉🏼Pet parent tip: dogs like Howie thrive when walks are paired with structured training moments. It’s not just about burning energy—it helps establish boundaries, builds trust, and makes your bond even stronger.
