Sadly, there has been little demand for my service where I argue with self-checkout machines, create dramatic entrances with a leaf blower, and investigate suspicious noises with absolutely no qualifications 😔

However, I do offer things that are slightly more useful.

🐾 Dog walks
🐾 Drop-in visits
🐾 Cat and dog overnight stays
🐾 Adventure walks for the four-legged (or three) explorers

And when I stay overnight, your pets get a live-in bestie while you get peace of mind. Think cuddles, playtime, routines kept intact, updates, clean dishes, trash taken out, packages brought in, and coming home to a house that doesn’t look like it hosted a frat party.

Back again with my boys Chance & Barkley and once again a time was had, can’t say the same for Snoopy… 🤣

Ways I fill the boys cups up: LOTS of sunshine, stair races, LOTS of play time (I may or may not enjoy getting them riled up for zoomies out in the yard) new cow shin bones (literally go crazy for these) cucumber snack sessions and of course plenty of cuddles to end and start our day!

I really don’t think people realize how deeply pets study us.

Not just our routines. Us.

They learn our moods, our energy, our habits, our timing. They know when something feels off before we even say it out loud. They notice the quiet changes in us that most people miss completely.

And somehow, after seeing every exhausted, overwhelmed, chaotic, emotionally-holding-it-together version of us… they still look at us with so much love.

There’s something really beautiful about that.

Because to our pets, we’re not our productivity, our appearance, our bad days, or the things we haven’t figured out yet.

To them, we’re home.

Argue with a wall if you think otherwise.
(I am a pet care professional, not a licensed doctor. Results may vary. Side effects of dog ownership can include increased expenses, loss of personal space, heightened attachment issues, fur accumulation in every known crevice of your home, and rearranging your entire schedule around a creature that licks windows. Dogs may not fix all your problems, but studies conducted by me personally suggest they make life significantly more tolerable.)

My biggest flex is that somewhere along the way, strangers started treating me like family.

Not in a “thanks for your business” kind of way either. I mean real relationships. The kind where people trust you with their house keys, their routines, and the beings they love most.

When I started Peace & Paws, I thought I was just walking dogs and pet sitting. I never expected this part of it.

The friendships. The kindness people have shown me over the years. The clients who check in on me just because. The people who remember little things I’ve said in passing. The dogs who know my voice before I even walk through the door.

Somehow a lot of my clients stopped feeling like clients a long time ago.

And honestly, one of my favorite parts is that so many of you make me feel comfortable enough to just fully be myself. The weird humor, the over-sharing, the chaotic energy, all of it 😂

That probably sounds small, but it’s not to me.

There are moments where it randomly hits me that this became my life, and I just feel really grateful for it. Truly.
