“Why do sitters charge that much?” 👀
Let’s be real… this isn’t just cuddles, potty breaks, and Netflix on your couch.
This is:
🌙 Nights away from our own homes + families
💸 Business costs most people never think about (insurance, gas, licenses, overhead)
🐕 Training, pet CPR, emergencies etc
📲 Constant updates + communication
🥱 Missing birthdays, holidays, and even sleep so your pets aren’t alone
And don’t forget, most of us are a one-person show running an entire household while you’re gone.
So yeah, rates reflect way more than “just hanging out with dogs.”
They reflect professionalism, reliability, and the kind of peace of mind you can’t put a price tag on.
👉🏼But hey… if you’re chasing “cheap,” go off sis & hire the 15-year-old neighbor or a hobbyist who pet sits for fun. 😉
Just remember: cheaper isn’t always better, and professional sitters are usually the ones called in to clean up those messes.
