“Woolly Worm” or “Woolly Bear” caterpillar. This fuzzy wuzzy will become an Isabella Tiger moth. Legend has it that the wider the rust-colored band, the less severe winter will be. I like our odds on this one; too bad there’s no evidence to back up the lore.

The Anderson Urban Farm

The Anderson Urban Farm is one of the last undeveloped farm properties in Anderson Township. Owned by the Anderson Township Historical Society, this peaceful ten-acre property sits on Bartels Rd. between Turpin High School and Clough Pike. In the fall of 2018 volunteers began working to clear the land of invasive plants, and in the spring of 2019 we started a community garden. We host periodic events that are free and open to the public. Come Grow With Us!
