OAR Volunteers are the cat’s meow!🎶🎤🐈

🧢🎩👒Sarah has worn MANY volunteer hats over the years and she currently manages our Cat Sponsorship Program. She gives adoption updates to our wonderful donors that sponsor cats at our Adoption Center.

“I never had cats growing up and volunteering at OAR helped me discover a passion for caring for cats. I enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of OAR and the variety of ways that I can volunteer. Over the past decade, I have been an Adoption Host, Cat Care, Behavior Team, Foster, and the Sponsorship Program Coordinator. The way in which I volunteer has changed to fit my life at the time but I can always find a way to support the cats.”

💌💘😽 Feeling like you might be a bit lonely for Valentine’s Day tomorrow?? Meet our most eligible and certainly our most handsome bachelor, Twelfth Night! His big tomcat cheeks make for the most kissable face you’ve ever met and the best part?? He’s a gentle giant who truly wants all your love and affection! He adores face rubs almost as much as he adores a nap. 💤🥺

💘💌 This guy is super chill and down for it all. Whether you’re in the mood to chill on the couch with him watching tv or birds, down for a little playtime with his beloved wand toy, or in the mood for some affection, he’s here for it. What more could you want? 😻😽

😻Sarah fostered an impressive 30 cats with OAR last year! Check out what she had to say about her foster experience.

"When I started fostering 10 years ago, it was because I adore animals and wanted to make a difference for them and the community. I have four children who have shared this foster journey with me and I foster for them as much as the animals now because it has been such a positive experience for them to see what a little TLC can do for a needy animal. Fostering is truly a win-win situation for everyone involved."

Sweet Peyton is our longest stay cat waiting for her person/people. If she was going to fill out an online dating profile, this beautiful girl would say her perfect match would be a calm home where she can relax a lot and play a little, where she can be by her humans a lot and other animals only a little, and where she is told how amazing she is on a regular basis.

🤩 Izzy is irreziztible! She is a people loving cat who loves to cuddle up and snuggle with her people. She is an expert at finding all of the coziest spots and cocooning herself in allllll the blankets. It’s her little safe space so better watch where you sit! Her interests mostly lie in napping and getting chin scratches but she can also be known to play a bit. Nothing too crazy but just enough to keep you entertained. 🤗

😻 While Izzy is a huge people cat, she prefers her people in the adult variety and she prefers her fellow cats (and dogs) to be nonexistent. She’s absolutely purrfect for someone who is looking for a quiet and loyal companion cat. She might be an only but loves enough for a whole houseful. 🙀

With her calm and loving nature, she’s happiest lounging in a sunny spot ☀️ or curling up for a cozy nap 💤. She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll be your most loyal companion.

🎉 Overqualified Woman – Playful, spunky, and always ready for fun! 🎾🐦 She loves catnip toys, wand games, and watching bird videos. When she’s not busy playing, you can find her curled up in a box 📦, snoozing under a blanket 🛏️, or even perched on your shoulder! She’s looking for her home—could it be with you?

😼 You might not like it buuuut.. this is what a mighty huntress looks like. Blues Mobile is a sweet and petite little raisin who loves raising cain. You’d never guess because she has an older lady look about her but once the wand toy comes out, all bets are off. She will hunt, stalk, and kill any string she meets! 🙀

💙 While Blues Mobile has her kitten moments, she’s also still an adult at heart who loves to laze, cuddle, snuggle, and get pets. You’ll know she’s ready for love when she bonks her adorable little head into you! She is the whole package and is such an easy cat who would do well in most homes. Plus, her beauty is unmatched! 🏡

>•< 💕 It’s Whisker Wednesday and Janet’s got whiskers for dayyys. Maybe weeks. Janet is a classy and tidy girlie looking for a like-minded human or family of humans. She is just a super calm and chill cat who loves lounging in the sun and napping with her people or fellow feline roomies. We adore her curious face and of course, cannot stop admiring those incredible whiskers! Janet can be a little bit slow to warm up around the Adoption Center but once she’s home and settled in, you’ll get the sweet girl of your dreams. She’s purrsonally been dreaming of her adoption day for so long! 💤🖤

😻➕ Janet gets along with other cats but has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and must live as an only cat or with other FeLV+ cats. We have a few positively purrfect cats she would be happy to go home with if you prefer she has a feline buddy. FeLV+ cats can live with dogs and other animals. OAR will cover this cat’s medical care related to FeLV (contact us for details). 👍

🐈‍⬛💨 Turbo is an initially cautious kitty who very quickly lets his curiosity get the better of him! Who can resist a wand toy though?! Not this handsome house panther.. 🖤

👍 Lowkey, calm, handsome, and loves to play?? He’s kind of the whole purrfectly balanced package! He can do it all. Lounge around with his humans, napping and relaxing, or burning off some young cat energy with a play session. Whatever your vibe, Turbo is here for it! 👏
