🍁🎃🏈 What’s more “fall” than football, pumpkins, and hoodies? Around here, it’s “falling” in love with a snuggly senior kitty today to spend these upcoming winter days cozying up indoors. You’re in luck too because our Bangs is sooo good at snoozing and relaxing! She’d love to curl up with you, a book, some reality tv, a nice cup of tea.. 💤☕️📚

👵 While Bangs isn’t a senior, she’s got an older lady look and way about her, which makes her purrfect in our eyes, but definitely gets looked over when we have adopters looking for a younger adult cat, like herself. Bangs is such a loving kitty, you can hear her purr a mile away and she could take you out at the knees with her head bonks. One might even call them “bangs”! 😉

👋 Let’s not let Bangs spend her winter at the Adoption Center. Even though we’ve got the good stuff (Churus), she’d much rather enjoy them in a loving home. OAR’s Adoption Center is open:

Each shopping trip, 4% of every purchase at Kroger is donated at no cost to you. Once you've done that, you should also visit Miss Peaches at the Adoption Center. She's looking for a place of her own! 😻

👻🎃 Happy Halloween, folks! Our sweet little Sturgeon must be wearing one U-G-L-Y mask this year to have avoided being adopted for as long as she has. She’s been available for over a month, which is truly unheard of for a kitten around these parts! 🦇🍂

🤔 Well, we don’t think she’s too horrible looking so hopefully getting her sweet little face out there will help. About Sturgeon though, she’s one of the silliest and most playful little girls ever. She doesn’t quit “da bird” once she gets going! 🤪

🍭🍫🍬 She acts a bit shy in our group room but can be easily won over with treats and games. Your patience and food will be rewarded. She also really loves a good romp with another younger cat. And once she’s good and worn out, you know there’s nothing sweeter than an “eepy smol baby” (aka a sleepy small kitten). 😉

😻 She’d love if you stopped by to toss the ball or play wand toy with her. You can even “trick or treat” during our open adoption hours by feeding her a churu! 😋 OAR’s Adoption Center is open:

Clarification on Our Recent TNR Policy Update

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read and engage with our recent TNR policy update. We appreciate the passion in our community and want to provide some additional clarity on two points from our original post:

1) Walk-ins will Return in Early February!

While our first statement may have created uncertainty about the future of walk-ins, we want to assure everyone that we fully plan to welcome TNR walk-ins again in early February. In the meantime, we’ve also opened up additional TNR appointment slots in January. To schedule, please call us at 513-871-0185.

2) Change in Deposit Policy

We are adjusting the cancellation policy for our $10 TNR deposit. The deposit will only be forfeited if an appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled surgery, instead of the previous 48-hour notice. Additionally, we will continue to make exceptions for emergencies, severe weather, and other extenuating circumstances.

Thank you all for your incredible commitment to the welfare of our community cats. We are grateful for your understanding as we refine our processes to best serve the cats and trappers in our community. Please reach out with any further questions or call 513-871-0185 for assistance.

To Our Dedicated Community Cat Trappers,

First and foremost, thank you for your incredible dedication, time, and hard work in helping our community cats get spayed and neutered. Your efforts have made a significant difference, and we are truly grateful for all you do!

We need to share some important updates about our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program. Starting now and for the foreseeable future, we will no longer be able to accept TNR walk-ins or unscheduled cats for surgery.

Moving forward, all TNR cats must have an appointment. You can schedule appointments by calling our clinic at 513-871-0185 or by emailing [email protected].

To help manage our limited resources, a $10 deposit per cat will now be required. This deposit will be refunded after your appointment, as long as no additional treatments or fees are needed. Please note, however, that refunds will not be issued for no-shows or cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment.

We understand that this change may be an adjustment, and we greatly appreciate your continued support and understanding as we transition to this new process. Our staff is here to help, and we kindly ask for your patience as we make this shift together.

If we are able to accept walk-ins again in the future, we will let you know as soon as possible.

In the meantime, there are other clinics in the area that offer low-cost spay/neuter services for community cats:

1) UCAN and The Economic Veterinary Initiative (for Hamilton County residents)
2) Humane Society of Greater Dayton (for Dayton residents)
3) League for Animal Welfare (for Clermont County)
4) Public Vet (for Indiana residents)

You can also contact Scooter’s Hotline at 1-833-GIVE-TEN for assistance with spaying and neutering in your county.

📍🌎 Looking for someone to center your whole universe around? Lupe will gladly oblige! She is an incredibly smart social butterfly who will greet you every time she sees you with a little chirp. She’s just another one of our many senior cats who doesn’t really act how people expect a senior cat to act. Very kittenlike and affectionate. In fact, we have kittens who are much spicier than little Lupe! 🌶️♥️

🥰 Lupe adores humans but is also really great with other cats. In fact, in her foster home, she figured out how to open her doorknob just to be around her feline foster siblings! This lady will give you a run for your money and she’s so sweet and charming, you can’t even mind.
