Shelby and Bandit getting their game faces on for TurnCrest this weekend 🔥
Come support our TCE family!
Tuesdays are for group lessons 😍
Mackenzie & Maggie enjoyed playing a bit of musical horses today (:
Allison and Fedora spent some time with Cait this week working on flying lead changes.
Flying lead changes are when the horse changes leads at the canter in the air between two strides. Flying lead changes are super beneficial for balancing your horse, as horses are generally more comfortable being on the correct lead. Additionally, they can make or break the quality of your upcoming jumps.
Ever seen a horse yawn?
When horses yawn, it is often times a calming signal & is seen as a sign of relaxation or submission.
Hick let out a biiiigggg yawn after a long training workout 🐴
We’d love to welcome Easton to our program!!
Easton & Babycakes spent time riding away those Monday blues yesterday in lessons 💙
We practiced catching, leading, and worked on simple halts. Can’t wait to see this cowboy grow!
Sienna and Allison worked with Fedora in their semi- private this week. Fedora is new to us, so this required Allison and Sienna to practice team work and communication while they took turns lunging each other. Super proud of these girls & Fedora 🔥
Fedora has been settling in nicely in her new home, getting used to the lesson horse lifestyle & a training routine. This mare is an absolute powerhouse and we are excited to see how far she can take her riders. 🐴🦋
We’d love to welcome Amanda to the TCE Team! Amanda and Hick worked on control in the trot and establishing a good “two-point”.
We still have openings, message us today!
Our jump school tonight was 🔥🔥
We’re getting ready and practicing hard for spring show season 🥇
Raileyn and Cait worked on walk/halt/backing transitions this evening in lessons.
Benefits to practicing backing up with your horse:
- Asking your horse to back up works to help develop their haunches
-Backing helps to establish boundaries between you and your equine
-Improves overall strength & collection in your horse
Lesson with us!
Babycakes’s favorite time of the day is treat time!
Can you guess Babycakes’s favorite treat?
🥕 or 🍎 ?
Comment below!
Prince and Lydia getting in the zone before their lesson.
This pair has been working together for about two months and it’s been so rewarding to watch the progress they’ve made 🥇
Elise and Babycakes nailed the sitting trot in their bareback lesson today. Bareback lessons allow riders to work on their seat and balance at whatever gait they chose to ride at. This was the first time the pair has worked together, and they did so well 🎉
Sienna & Cakers bouncing around last week!
No doubt Cakers loves to jump, and Sienna is right there with her. We can’t wait to watch them take over the show ring together 👏🏽👏🏽
Maggie & Hick worked on establishing control in trot to center transitions on the lunge line in their ground lesson with Cait today. They’re looking good 🤩

Let’s talk about cooling out your horse…
Cooling out your horse after a ride is essential for many reasons:
- It helps you and your horse unwind, especially if a lot was accomplished in the ride mentally and physically.
- It allows muscles to relax and breathing to turn to normal.
- It allows heat to dissipate so body temperature can return back to normal.
We recommend a cool out walk of ten to twenty minutes, based on your horses breathing and temperature ❄️

Kylie and Cheyanne got used to each other and our new arena tonight. While Cheyanne might be in her late 20’s, don’t let that fool you, she loves to move!
Come make memories with us. ♥️
Sienna & Siren worked on flying lead changes with Trainer Cait today.
Making a plan before you ask for the lead change and timing your cues are important when trying to perform this skill.
We love seeing riders accomplish their goals, way to go guys! ❤️🔥
Our trainers checked out the new digs today and boy is it impressive! We are so excited to be taking this next step on our journey and are grateful for all the families supporting us.
