What can you do if you are feeling stressed out before you go to see your horse, to enable you to give your horse (and you) the best experience?

Emotions are energy in motion, so they have to move!

What I recommend to people is that they take a moment and sit down, take a couple of deep breaths and then close their eyes.

Think of the situation that is making you feel emotional, which will bring up a felt resonance somewhere within the body. If you can't pinpoint what it is, just feel where the emotion is sitting.

Sit with that feeling for a short while, then soak to it. Tell it you love and accept it because it is part of you. Tell it that you respect it because you know the damage it can do to your body.

Then give it permission to move around your body and follow it with your awareness.

Once it has done this for a minute or two, tell it again that you you love, care and respect it, but you no longer have a use for it and that you want it to leave your body through your head.

Feel it start to move up your body and exit through your head. When it has left, your eyes will open.

Take a few deep breaths and see how you feel now. If there is something still there, you can go back I and repeat this with was many emotions as you need to until you feel bright, clear and ready to approach your horse without it.

Isaiah has a large bump on his leg. The vet worked out a piece of wood that has been in there for months. I'm so happy we got it out.
