Xylitol, a common sweetener found in sugar-free gum, candies, baked goods, and even some peanut butters, is highly toxic to pets? 🐾 Just a small amount can cause a dangerous drop in blood sugar, liver damage, and even be life-threatening for dogs and cats.

Symptoms of xylitol poisoning include:

Vomiting
Weakness or staggering
Seizures

If you suspect your pet has ingested anything containing xylitol, contact us or an emergency vet immediately! Spread the word to help protect our furry family members! 💙
