Bristol is focusing on her cheese plate during Physical Therapy. She had a TPLO last month and is doing well with her rehab.
Loca, one of our ophthalmology patients, will do anything for cheese :)
Our associates are not the only ones in costume today. Look at this cute trick or treater below.
We throw graduation parties for our patients! Yes, that's right, after a Cancer Care pet receives his or her treatment, we throw a big graduation ceremony, with a graduation hat, music, and cake. The staff wears party hats and it's a big to-do. Why, because we care deeply for the pets and patients we serve. So enjoy Marzipan's graduation. Marzipan was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer known as subcutaneous hemangiosarcoma. This is a cancer of blood vessels that arises underneath the skin. It can readily spread to other parts of the body, so treatment with chemotherapy is recommended to help these dogs live longer with this disease. Marzipan tolerated her chemotherapy beautifully and is all finished! She is one of our favorites and we wish her the best of luck!
When we mention Nachos do you think of cheese? Nacho, an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever does! Why, because he considers himself the "big cheese" when he comes in for his rehabilitation sessions with Julie Burk, CVT, CCRVN where he also indulges in, you guessed it... cheese snacks for motivation. He's in good hands too, as those credentials behind Julie's name means she is not only a Certified Veterinary Technician but also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse. Nacho started rehabilitation in May of 2020 to help maintain strength, achieve pain control, improve body function, and prevent further episodes after two procedures for disc herniation in the cervical spine. He undergoes underwater exercises, receives therapeutic laser treatments and has learned how to do therapeutic exercises at home. A special thanks to Nacho's mom, Heather, who continually proves she is a responsible pet owner who wants the very best for Nacho. With marked improvement, Nacho whispered to us that it's now just all about the cheese!
We’re so proud of our Associates, who work so hard to care for your pets, and take care of the future of veterinary medicine every day. Thank you for being part of our story.
