Hello all, not my normal post as I’m going to be pretty dang direct. It is Saturday morning at 11:30 and we are empty. Had all tubs full at open, usually there is a 10-30 minute wait on a weekend but now we are completely vacant.
I’ve mentioned this to some over the last few months but a video may drive the point home. So many people have been extremely kind, telling us that we can’t leave and how much they value & appreciate us being here. We GREATLY appreciate all of you!!! However, we can’t exist without sales, without customers in the door.
I have dreaded (and postponed) posting this type of content but you need to see and know how bad it is. Such as Wednesday, we had 2 people in ALL day! You read that right….2 people.
I don’t know what is going on if it’s because it’s election year, if it’s because people are tightening their belts or what. I just know we cannot continue to exist if we do not have people in so we’re asking people, asking you, come in for a nail trim, come in for a bath, come in for some treats or a bandana.
I am grateful for these last five years. I am appreciative of all who have come in and supported us and I do hope that things turn around, but it needs to happen now. We want to be here to be part of the community, to continue to serve our dogs, and those who’ve become our friends.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend! We hope to see you 🥰🐾
😙 Whistle while you work and you get the cutest little head tilt!!! 🐶
#thawandthrive
A lot to say just like our Husky friends, please stick with me. 😉
What is Thaw and Thrive? The ice storm last week was devastating to local businesses. Most businesses had to close for almost a week to keep staff and customers safe, making it difficult to keep bills and staff paid. Small businesses build the character of our communities. They provide unique community spaces, employ our neighbors, and support local events and charitable causes. Thaw and Thrive is a celebration of local businesses – now that the roads are clear, let’s get out of the house and overwhelm our local small businesses with support! Support local, small businesses, win prizes! Take a picture outside of participating businesses (all tagged!) and posted on Instagram with #thawandthrive for an entry to win one of many raffle prizes from local businesses! Each post is a separate entry! The more businesses, you visit, the more chances to win! Winners will be randomly, chosen by 2/3/24. We will use a random number generator to determine which #thawandthrive entries are winners, and we will contact winners via Instagram message.
Parking lot is an ice rink still do put down some ice melt and did this! ⬆️
It was fun, however even though it’s better there is still ice out there. Be VERY careful!!
And please don’t judge my dirty windshield
😬🫣
Parking lot still a sheet of ice and with more coming it just isn’t safe to open.
Hope all are safe & warm. We can’t wait to be open again to see all of our wonderful clients and their humans 😉
🤞 it clears up tomorrow
The only thing better than a dog eating peanut butter is a 130 pound dog eating peanut butter!!! 🤣😆
Our first customers of 2024…a beautiful sight indeed, all Golden Retrievers ♥️🐾
Recently, there have been concerns about canine respiratory illness, and we want to take a moment to address these matters and reassure you about the safety of bringing your beloved pets to Shampooch.
Your pets well-being has always been our top priority, and we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for every furry visitor. Business here has dropped 80% and we want to remind you of what we have always done to keep your dog safe.
Here’s what we’re doing to ensure their safety:
✅ Enhanced cleaning protocols: our facilities undergo rigorous cleaning procedures. We use Petology 256:1 Disinfectant which has been verified by the EPA and kills coronavirus, respiratory syncytial virus, canine, influenza, parvo, staph, salmonella, E. coli, bordetella, distemper, and much more. This is used to clean the tub before and after every use.
✅ ventilation, and air quality: we have a ventilation system to maintain optimal air quality, ensuring a comfortable and safe space for your pets.
✅ staff training: our dedicated team is well trained in recognizing and responding to any signs of illness. We closely monitor all pets in shop.
✅ open communication: if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to address any inquiries and provide peace of mind.
At Shampooch, we understand that your pets are family and we are committed to creating an environment where they can thrive. We appreciate your trust in us and want you to feel confident that your furry companions are in good hands.
We do ask that if your pet has exhibited any signs of illness that you keep your pet at home until they are fully recovered.
Thank you for being part of the Shampooch family. We look forward to continuing to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for your pets.

Looking for another groomer! We get 10-20 requests per day and are sad to turn their sweet pups down. Please share if you know someone looking for a little more freedom & control over their schedule WITH experience! Without a local grooming school great groomers are hard to find. 🐾🥰
Sport options available, too!! 🦆 🦫 🔥 🪓 @theluminouspets
