Thank you Clackamas Dogs Foundation for purchasing all of these goodies for the pups in our care. The Foundation’s new Specialized Food and Enrichment fund helps us get things to help keep the dogs busy and entertained. These items were purchased by the Foundation with donations (no tax dollars used!) to help supplement the other donations we receive to support the fantastic work the shelter staff does every day. We recognize that dogs are individuals, as much as we are. It takes a balance of mental and physical enrichment to give the dogs a chance to decompress from the stress of life in the shelter. Your generosity allows us offer more individualized stress reduction items to meet the need of a each dog in our care, and this may change day to day. This may not seem significant, but to that dog, it is everything! Thank you Clackamas Dogs Foundation!

Dog Enrichment Fund!

For fiscal year 2022-2023, the Board of the Clackamas Dogs Foundation approved a new budget line to help Clackamas County Dog Services (CCDS)! This new budget line will help CCDS buy enrichment items for the pups in their care all year long! This helps the pups stay happy and healthy while they are in the shelter! We can only do this because of your generous donations!

A big shout out to our friends at the Banfield Foundation!! Thanks to a very generous grant, we were able to purchase a new light for the surgery suite of Clackamas County Dog Services! The old lights were about 12 years old, not super bright, not very energy efficient, really hot to stand under, and in need of replacement. The new LED light is MUCH brighter, way more energy efficient, significantly cooler, and brand new!! This will make surgery, dentals and routine procedures so much easier for not only the pups in CCDS's care, but for their in-house doctor and support staff! Thank you again Banfield Foundation for making this much needed light a reality!

*another great thing…NO tax dollars were spent for this purchase!

Over the holidays our friends at Chase Heating & Cooling, Inc. did a fund raiser for us! We received their generous donation today! Thank you to everyone who donated to help us continue working toward getting a new Mobile Veterinary Trailer for Clackamas County Dog Services so they can help even more dogs in Clackamas County! Mobile Veterinary Trailer Update:

As of today, we have raised nearly $60,000 for our campaign through the amazing generosity of you, our donors!! We should hear by the end of March about the two grants we have submitted ($150,000 through RDPO and $100,000 through the State Farm Community Disaster Preparedness program)...fingers crossed! We did a presentation to the RDPO on the 18th and feel it went well! We will keep working hard to make this dream a reality for Clackamas County Dog Services. Thank you to all of you for your continued support of the work we do to help dogs in Clackamas County!
