What a Saturday night they had in Bentley, KS. After a rough couple weeks, Tulsa and Natalie Berryhill made a beautiful run to win the race by a large margin. Tulsa knew the ground was right and when Natalie sent her to the first barrel, Tulsa took her signature turning style to a new level. I couldn't be more proud of this team. Natalie had 3 horses in the top 4; a force to be reckoned!!
So proud of Natalie Berryhill and Tulsa! They had quite a weekend in Kansas. It started in Dodge City with Tulsa having top placings at a barrel race Friday and Saturday. Saturday night, they entered a rodeo in Meade and were 2/100ths of a second off first place. Not bad for the first trip around the rodeo arena for Tulsa. I'm feeling blessed!
This gal, Natalie Berryhill, can jockey a horse. This is my 5 year old, Tulsa, by Little Dry Whiz and out of Vibrant Holly. She's bred to rein and work a cow but she digs turning barrels so that's what we're doing with her. Had she not knocked over the 2nd barrel, she would have been 3rd in the 1D. This event was in Cherokee, OK. The road ahead looks fast and furious for these gritty gals! Very nice job Natalie! Thank you for always keeping the queen happy.
