It’s Important dog owners to get your pet neutered or spayed. Some
cancerous show up earlier because they are directly related to the testerone and estrogen from the ovaries and te**es when not surgically removed when the pet is younger. Do your research and do the responsible thing as a pet owner.

The power of the “right” kind of exercise and training for a dog is important. Not all dogs are the same require different types or mental and physical exercise depending on the breed. This is a German Shepherd dog. She is a high energy dog as are most GSD’s so we gave her a job and mental exercises that will keep her a happy fulfilled dog. First pic is the start of the session and the last pic is her after her training. Hahaha she’s so tired! A tired dog is a happy dog

When the weather is HOT, pay more attention to your dog's breathing. Panting is normal but watch for signs of overheating.

Remember today is a nightmare for most dogs. They are typically in flight mode with the loud noises. Be smart and keep your dogs indoors during this time. Never assume because they did well previous years that you won’t have a problem this year.

Dogs are notoriously bad at dissipating body heat. Watch for early signs of heatstroke, also known as hyperthermia, in your dog to avoid serious outcomes.

DOG OWNERS - please read!
This heat is not your dogs friend. It doesn’t take long for them to become dehydrated and start experiencing heat exhaustion and even worse heat stroke. Just putting cold water out in the am isn’t enough. And never leave a dog in a car with windows down(unless you leave your vehicle running with the air conditioning on). If you see a dog in a vehicle with the windows slightly down or up, be that animals advocate and call the police department and give them the license plate number of the vehicle. I’ve done this myself about 15 times. The police will check into it.
Dogs can’t cool themselves down as fast as humans can. Every summer I see many dogs suffer from heat stroke.
Here’s a way to ensure your dog has enough cold water that encourages them to drink more in an effort to prevent this from happenimg.
Make a large chuck of ice daily( no ice cubes they melt to fast). Then dump the large chunk of ice into the empty water dish then put cold water over it daily. I use a container with water that I put in the fridge. This keeps the water cold for hours and your dog will thank you.
After 3 hours of putting cold water into their dish without a large chuck of ice the water becomes room temperature. So just as most of us humans don’t like to drink room temperature water if we are thirsty or want to cool down, the same goes for dogs. This is such an easy way to help your dog. It encourages them to drink more because the water is cold. This simple trick keeps your dog from becoming dehydrated and greatly decreases the chances of them experiencing a life threatening condition and even death. This is a routine in my household and I hope you’ll make this a daily routine in your home as well. And please share this post so other dog owners can learn as well.
Just because it has never happened to you before doesn’t mean it won’t. Prevention and having the knowledge can save lives. Please read the captions under each pic to learn a little more.

Powerful breeds I’ve worked with lately. Big beautiful smart and eager to learn. I have to give credit to the owners who reached out for help in how to work with their powerful breed. Not all dogs respond the same to methods used so please don’t use google in as a dog trainer. Hands on teaching with each dog and a professional trainer will always be the best for every dog. Hands on training for the WIN.

Happy New Year to all my human and furry friends. Remember, please get a driver if you’ll be drinking because by chance if you didn’t ever come back home….your pets would never understand!
