And the part of breeding I absolutely hate. No puppies this go around which means her and mystic will likely have pups around the same time in the spring 🫣 we are slightly relieved because jewels is a c section and our vet just left so this would have been an emergency c-section (last one was close to $10,000 😬). The new vet will do them but only certain days. So it gives us time to get established up at Dover so regardless it will not be an emergency for her or us!

We have plenty of litters planned this coming year more than people who are on our list so don’t forget about our referral program!

We will keep you updated on Vegas! I cannot wait to see the pups she makes!

Anxiously waiting the moment of truth. If she is pregnant I’d say it’s a small litter or she took the last day of getting together with Tito which would make her due date next Friday/Saturday. Fingers crossed for everyone I know you have been waiting to add a new pup into your life!

But don’t fret! Vega is super close to being in heat and she would be due end of January so puppies are in the future regardless!

Jewels goes in Friday for vet check. I am a little skeptical that she’s pregnant or it’s a small litter. She has not gotten any bigger in the last two weeks. It could have been the puppy food she’s on as that is what we are supposed to feed and she gets free access to food. So stay tuned I’m hoping my gut is wrong. But please don’t fret! Vega is due to be into heat any moment and we will have pups either way in the next two to three months, plus two more litters in April and another litter next summer. Mother nature can be so frustrating but it’s all part of the process. I just want to keep everyone as informed as I can, transparency goes a long way! So keep your fingers crossed! Maybe she has just five pups in there instead of ten this time!

Tito in for his yearly check up! He’s pretty happy about it!

Jewels goes in next Wednesday for pregnancy confirmation we came in yesterday and bones don’t form until 5-7 days before delivery which was news to me! But I always let them schedule us, anyhow it was an oversight on their part. Always learning something! So next week we go in for her x ray and the week after she is due 11/18. Here’s to good news next week and hoping her fat belly is puppies and not because of puppy food she’s on 🤣🤣

We are 2.5 weeks away from puppies coming!!! This litter is likely all spoken for, we have 8 people in line and a few for next spring already!

We expect to have a BUSY year in 2025 with five litters arriving! This is to help cut down our long wait lists!!

Our females in their foster homes turn two in just a few months and one has already surpassed her clearance with amazing confirmation and hips! Second one is getting ready for her testing next!

We are starting to get some personal referrals too!! We have decided that if you have been referred to us by a previous buyer we will give both, you and the previous buyer a discount of $500 each!

We are still adhering to the $200 deposit to get on our list to secure a puppy but don’t worry that goes towards the overall cost of the pup! It has worked out well thus far as we know the folks on our list are serious buyers and people can better plan out their pups arrivals.

Snowball is home! He’s pretty drugged and has to keep his basket muzzle on so he doesn’t chew his external fixator off it was that or a dreaded cone so we opted for this it’s more comfortable and he can drink water easier. He’s stuck in here for minimum of three weeks only out to potty to ensure best recovery chances which are really good if we stick to vet recommendations which we will. Heres to a rough few weeks!

Hope your day is going well. I got out of work today and got a text on way home that snowball was hit by a car. He broke his shoulder and dislocated what would be our ulnar bone. Our vet was able to get him in for x rays and pain meds and a referral to orthopedic surgeon for the rest where we will go tomorrow. They were getting ready to close so luckily I had casting supplies and good old fashion sticks to split his leg so he wouldn’t fracture the dislocated bone. Send little snowball some love this is likely a long recovery

Meet Tito, Tito is currently looking for a new foster home. Tito is part of our breeding program and as such our foster rules will apply to him. Tito is very much a ladies man, he is often skiddish with men so a man’s only home would not suit him well. He loves to go out for walks and sleep in your bed and become the largest weighted blanket you’ve ever had. Due to his height he is perfect table height so it is recommended that food be put up if you are not going to be attentive otherwise he will help himself to it. There is no fee for Tito due to him being an active part of our breeding program. Please PM me for an application and a date/time to meet him.

Jewels uterus was being tricky to find but all said in done we are 99% sure she is pregnant!

We are at the vets for our annual check ups! Mom got us donuts so we are very happy!

Mystic is healing well! She’s been at her Grammies! Snowball was just to much for her, we are going to bring her home tomorrow and her staples come out Saturday.

On a side note Jewels was bred with Tito this week, we are awaiting the vets call to schedule her c-section but pups will likely arrive anytime between 11/18-11/20. Stay tuned for more updates!

Mystic is home and settled and very sleepy everyone is very greatful she’s doing ok. Now her only job is to heal 🥰

We got the call from the vets Mystic has been cleared to come home so we are headed down to get her and bring her home to recoup!

Mystic did great she ended up eating a piece of shirt that went through our lawn mower 🙄. Unfortunately she was left with a very large incision and cannot have pups this go around. After consulting with the vet and others jewels will be having pups next and she is actually in heat now. We will post pictures of mystic and her recovery. Thank you for everyone’s prayers and thoughts we hope to bring mystic home tomorrow to recover.

Welp vet called mystic hasn’t improved they did the ultrasound confirmed it was a blockage she’s headed into surgery now. I will know more later and I’m headed down to see her after she is out of surgery. Luckily the blockage is in her stomach so I’m hoping they can do it less invasive but time will tell. I will update everyone after I see our beautiful girl.

Poor mystic bad case of gastritis but thank god it’s not from eating socks! She’s staying overnight at the hospital and I will likely get her after work and/or Wednesday to be sure she has full support. She’s getting IV hydration some pain relief and anti nausea medicine. Nothing but the best for my best girl. It’s a good prognosis so we should still expect puppies! She isn’t quite ready to breed yet but by Thursday or Friday vet thinks she will be good to go!

Mother Nature can be so cruel. Mystic is at the emergency vet loooks like a blockage, it is unclear at this point if she will be healthy enough to be bred. Jewels did come into heat yesterday and is going to the vet for health clearance next week so she may be having pups in November instead.

Puppies playing with their “moms” the last two weeks are important for puppies mental development and growth, they are taught “manners” and discipline during these “play”’periods, it is also why it’s super important for pups to stay with their moms until they are 8 weeks old.
