💚Adopt Yoda💚in San Diego, CA Yoda is a 3 year-old, 32-pound sweetheart currently being fostered in San Diego. His journey hasn’t been easy—he was pulled from the San Bernardino shelter after being labeled aggressive and scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, Yoda’s foster mom quickly learned that he wasn’t aggressive at all—just scared and misunderstood. Yoda is the ultimate cuddlebug. His favorite place is snuggled up on your shoulder—he considers himself a “shoulder dog,” not just a lapdog! When he’s not cuddling, he loves gnawing on Nylabones (great for his teeth) and carrying around chuck-it balls (although he’s not quite mastered the art of fetch). He’s energetic and adores walks and car rides but can be wary of hoses during gardening time. He eats about 2.5 cans of Purina Pro Plan Adult Sensitive Skin and Stomach Lamb and Oatmeal Entrée daily, split into 5-6 small meals. He also receives a daily probiotic and eye drops twice a day due to his cherry eye surgery, which healed beautifully. While his diet leads to softer stools, he’s becoming more tolerant of cleanups with baby wipes. He’s a well-behaved, non-destructive pup who is learning from his foster siblings. While he doesn’t bark at knocks or passing strangers, he can be vocal when separated from his person. Yoda’s separation anxiety has significantly improved, but he thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time. He’d love to accompany you to work or spend his days in a home with a yard where he can burn off his energy. Yoda is dog-friendly but prefers peaceful coexistence over active play. He’s also cat-friendly but uninterested in them. While he hasn’t met small children yet, he’s expected to do well with a slow introduction.Yoda is crate-trained and improving with potty training. 🎄 Holly Pupdate 🎄 Holly went for a walk with foster mom and her pups! (as long as the babies stayed nearby in a sling!) They stopped and chatted with three neighbors, and each of them petted Holly and said hi to the babies. She didn’t growl or react once! He has found as a stray so we don’t know much about his story but we do know he is a kind sweet soul! FUR rescued this little reindeer from the shelter so he would have a cozy foster home this holiday season. He is not available for adoption at this time. 🍭Lolli-Pop is having surgery🍭 Sweet little Lolli is on her way to surgery this morning. She is a sweet 4 month old female puppy who came to rescue with a broken leg. Unfortunately Lolli-Pops injury requires her to see an orthopedic surgeon. She will be having a much needed surgical repair so that she will have future use of her leg. Her specialist will place a permanent screw to hold the bone in place. She will be on pain meds and crate rest for several weeks to keep her from injuring it again. She will have a long recovery. This is an emergency surgery that has to be done asap so the her leg does not heal wrong.
