It has been brought to our attention that there is a rumor we are no longer training horses, and are strictly taking attentive care horses. We want to reassure the community we are still training and boarding horses. We also have a few stalls left for the ones traveling to Louisville for lay overs.

Since this disappeared yesterday I'm putting it back up. Saturday we did something different while working this sweet boy and Kaki also got to take a spin with monarch and she loved every minute of it.

We want to take a minute to wish a happy happy birthday to a very special all star lady who always goes the extra mile and fixes all of our horse and pony problems. We love seeing her show up for us and our horses. She wears a smile even on her bad days, she busts her ass every day, even on her days off. So today let's raise a diet- coke toast along with dark chocolate kisses and send her best wishes for the best birthday. Dr. Mary Gochnauer we hope your day is as special as you are!

We have some fabulous birthdays to celebrate, and recognize. We started the celebration with Finn aka the spoiled yellow pony on Tuesday. Today we have two more birthdays! Janet Bowen, aka Monarch's mom. Monarch screams happy birthday mom, and wants you to know he's not making you age a bit, you're just leveling up. Cheers to you on your special day. Next we would like to wish Halee Hunt a Happy Birthday! She is a huge help to us at the barn, and definitely a jack of all trades who will always take a challenge, and can handle tools, tractors, horses or anything else you throw her way. Tomorrow we wish Ashley Loeb a great BIG birthday as her days are longer with her successful graduation under her belt. Ashley is aka Callie's mom. Callie screams happiest of birthdays to my mom who makes life so fun, and looks out for me and my best interest, so I can keep her in debt. Finally on Thursday 7/4/24 we will celebrate our own Gina Lail, who completes Champion Manor at Rock Barn Equestrian Center and makes it all possible. Your birthdays are the first day of another 365 day journey. Keep being the shining stars you are!!!

Vacation time is quickly approaching. As you make your reservations, make your horses too. We offer horse lay overs for those going out of town that need extra TLC. We also offer popsicle treats for those extra hot days. We can provide references, and have a few stalls available.

A little fun in blowing rock at the horse show last week with these guys. Duncan Huyler, Gabe The Bear Dean and Over and over victory. Had a blast showing Gabe in the USTA off the track Standardbred series and on the championship class. I'm having the time of my life with this horse and his owner's.

Our fearless leader is pumped up and excited to be hitting the ring Saturday morning at the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show with her buddy Gabe The Bear Dean in the USTA OFF THE TRACK SERIES CLASS. Rain our shine we know our driver isn't afraid of anything. Special thanks to Duncan and Erica for giving Gina this opportunity.

Last week we attended the Southern States Morgan show in Raleigh NC with two of our incredible athletes. Anticipations Monarch LF and Janet Bowen swapped the card clean winning both the AMT road pony qualifier and their championship class. Janet and Monarch were unbelievable in both classes. This little guy sure keeps Janet and Gina on their toes. Head of the Table (Jaybird) and our trainer Gina Lail took third in a very competitive open road horse to bike class against some very nice horses. They headed back in their championship class Saturday with some help from our dear friend Kathryn. They were unbelievable finishing as reserve champions. This team is getting stronger and stronger every crack out of the box. We are home till July but you will see our trainer in Blowing Rock showing her favorite guy Gabe The Bear Dean for our friend Duncan Huyler in the USTA off the track class Saturday morning. So if you're a fan of Gina then come on out to the show Saturday June 8th, @ 9am and cheer on Gina and Gabe. Safe travels to everyone traveling next week to Blowing Rock .

It's a beautiful morning here at the barn. The sun's out and we are ready for a full busy long day and probably night too. So far we have started our morning off with morning feeding, dumping and cleaning water buckets, bush hogging a pasture, w**d eating the flower beds out front of the barn and house and more mowing along with a few emails and phone calls that needed attending too. Now we are off to work horses, turn out the boarding horses, dump and clean their water tubes, and get everything loaded for our show this week in Raleigh.

Good Sunday morning to you from all of us here at Champion Manor at Rock Barn Equestrian Center . We are gearing up and getting ready to head out to Raleigh NC this week for the Southern States horse show that's managed by our good friend Liz Holmes. Liz and her crew do an excellent job taking care of all their exhibitors and trainers and go above and beyond for all of us and our safety. Saturday morning we started off our morning turning out all the boarding horses for the day and then working all the show horses. We started off with one of my favorites Monarch getting him ready for the AMT road pony class with owner driver Janet Bowen. Then we watched Janet and Kakis beautiful talented mare Willow go through her routine like a dream
Everyday this awesome mare gets better and better and closer to a show hopefully by the end of the year. Chance got to spend a lot of time with his mom Kaki out playing and rolling in the bullpen. Then I got out Christie's boy Finn and put him through his motions as we are preparing for a new division so stay tuned for that. As always my big boy and I took a turn on the track getting ourselves ready to sling some dirt next week and make a statement. After everything was worked and brought back inside everybody got baths and treats along with freshly cleaned bedded stalls and clean water buckets. We also celebrated two birthdays this week Chance and Scotty. Chance belongs to Kaki Mitchell and Scotty is our senior citizen of the barn owned by Donna Malone and he always keeps us on our toes. Our days may be long but we love our job, our horses and our clients. Thank you to Janet and Kaki for helping with the horse car wash line yesterday and everything else you do for us. See you all soon.

We now have stalls available for medical rehabilitation and convalescent care. If you have a horse that needs attentive care around the clock, or one you don't have the extra time for special needs they require. We pride ourselves on the individualized care of each horse and pony, and work with several top-rated Veterinarians in the area. With over 30 years experience, we can offer care for any number of issues such as wound care, chemo care, Cushing's, diabetes, abscess and hoof care, and can provide services such as administering IV fluids, eye care, injections. Post Op care, wraps, and catheters.
Boarding and Training stalls are also available. The trainer lives on site for around the clock care.

All of us here at Champion Manor at Rock Barn Equestrian Center want to congratulate Ashley Loeb on graduating from college with a mechanical engineering degree. We all know how hard Ashley has worked for this day and all the sacrifices she has made to get here. She is a Wonderful young lady and we look forward to seeing what her future holds. Callie is proud of you too Ashley.

We have had a busy month celebrating birthdays in the barn. This month we celebrated Frankie, Ace, Lainey-Mae, and next week the 25th, Callie. With two more birthdays to follow on the 29th, the siblings Monarch & Willow. We always put our horses first, and aim to please. Call us to get on our list of celebrations!
