💦 Always bring along water for your dog, and offer it to him on a regular basis, so he or she is less likely to be enticed by salt or stagnant water sources.

Allowing pets to drink standing water runs the risk of them contracting 🪱 parasites such as Giardia, 🦠️ bacteria such as Leptospirosis, or ingesting water contaminated with Blue Green Algae. ⚠️ If your pet ingests as little as one or two mouthfuls of blue-green algae-infested water, it can be fatal to your pet. Signs that your dog has been poisoned can show up within minutes, and you might see vomiting, diarrhea, staggering, weakness, and pale gums. Immediate veterinary intervention is needed!

Bottom line: If you wouldn't swim in the water, you probably shouldn't let your pet either.

✅ Yes! You can mix raw & kibble! No, it does NOT matter that raw/cooked digests at different rates - so does a lot of food eaten together. Remember that adding as little as 20% fresh ingredients can improve your pet's diet. In fact, feeding a variety of foods can provide a more balanced and complete diet for pets. Raw food often contains enzymes, probiotics, and other beneficial compounds that may be lacking in processed kibble. While there may be sensitive dogs who require special dietary arrangements or solo feeding, most healthy dogs do just fine with a mixed diet! Some fresh food is better than none!

Adding some raw is very common for those who cannot afford to feed totally raw. 💡Here are some ideas to add raw to kibble:
🐶 Add-in a commercial raw diet over their kibble - OR - Feed one raw meal and the next meal kibble
🐐 Raw Goat's Milk/Yogurt. Great for pets with digestive issues, allergies, & picky eaters.
🥚 Crack an egg over their food a couple of times a week. It is a great source of protein.
