Neuter for a Nickel!

Yes, you read that right! Thanks to several community sponsors, we are happy to announce our Neuter for a Nickel event taking place on February 12th. For just 5 CENTS, you can get your male cat neutered!

This affordable offer is designed to help reduce the number of unwanted litters and reduce overpopulation, all the while improving your cat’s health and behavior.

We have 100 available appointments for our Neuter for a Nickel event. By neutering 100 cats, we will be preventing the unwanted birth of thousands of kittens and bettering the lives of 100 more animals in our community by providing essential medical care and vaccinations.

Here are the details!

When: Wednesday, February 12th, 2025
Where: 3224 20th Ave SE, Hickory NC 28602

🐾 Limited to 2 male cats per person.

🐾 This offer applies to male cats ONLY. This offer does NOT apply to feral cats.

🐾 To qualify, you must show proof of one of the following:
-Medicaid
-EBT/WIC/SNAP
-Social Security
-Veteran Status
-Senior Status (60+)
(Proof MUST be acquired before scheduling. Please email proof to [email protected] or bring it in person BEFORE 2/12 .)

Appointments are required! To schedule, either call (828) 464-8878 OR email [email protected].

A current rabies vaccination is required. If your animal is not up to date on a rabies vaccine at the time of surgery, one will be administered for $10.

This event is only discounting the price of a male cat neuter. All additional services such as microchipping, vaccinations, testing, or flea/tick prevention are charged at full price. All additional surgical fees such as cryptorchid surgeries or hernia repairs are charged at full price. You can find a list of these charges at our website www.catawbahumane.org.

🎄🐾 Time to Head Home! 🐾🎄

Hi, friends! Today is my last day at the clinic—it’s time for me to head back to the North Pole and help Santa prepare for Christmas!

Before I go, I want to celebrate something truly magical: the amazing animals who found their forever homes during my time here. Seeing so many wagging tails and happy purrs has filled my little elf heart with joy! Thank you to everyone who opened their hearts and homes to these special friends. You’ve made their holiday season brighter than ever!

Though I’ll miss all the fun and furry faces here, I’ll be thinking of you as I help Santa spread the magic of the season. Keep being kind, keep loving, and keep giving second chances to animals in need.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a season filled with joy, love, and happy tails!
