This hard freeze has put a temporary hard stop on my tanning until my rehydration bin thaws back out. My elk is up next but since I don’t have it tanned yet I’m going to mount 3 deer in this second batch coming up and this is the order of the second batch.

Had the pleasure of refurbishing/ refinishing a mount for Carlos that another taxidermist mounted. Did what I could, re epoxied, re-sculpted and re-painted all the damaged areas of this mount as well as making the antlers removable . I think it turned out pretty dang good!

Carlos’ massive Arizona 6x6 bull elk all finished up. Carlos originally wanted me to custom turn this mounts’ head looking more into the room, but without turning it into a floor pedestal just wasn’t possible with these giant antlers, without cutting a hole into the wall to accommodate them. We did make the antlers removable to help with transportation and fitting through doors to get them inside the home. Turned out a very beautiful mount.
