Orleans County Boots & Saddle Club Our general purpose is to promote an enjoyable horsemanship community through various activities. Many people probably aren't aware that we even exist!

The Orleans County Boots and Saddle Club wishes to extend an open invitation to any horse loving individual or family to join our organization and see what we are all about. The fact is, our club has been around for over 50 years! Our club's mission is to enable its members to unite in efforts to encourage and promote the best interest of horse-minded fellowship and develop good sportsmanship whil

e promoting an interest in horses and horsemanship in our area. We trail ride, hold open training events, shows and clinics, as well as members' only skill shows, draft horse driving clinics, monthly schooling nights, cookouts and an annual Winterfest! Our fundraisers include hot dog sales, poker runs, auctions and a swap 'n' shop. There is something for everyone! This year, the club is going all out with a barrel racing and pole bending "Summer Series" every other Tuesday night starting in June. Riders from all over western New York and at all skill levels will be competing against each other and the clock. Points will be tallied and prizes including an Open Barrel Champion Buckle as well as an Open Pole Bending Buckle will be awarded at our finals. Great food is always being served, so stop over and meet some great people! (There is never a charge to watch!)

So, if you have a horse or just love horses, come and join the fun. Our club grounds are located at the corner of Hulberton and Powerline Roads in Clarendon. We hold monthly meetings on the third Thursday of the month, meeting at the club grounds during the summer months. Family memberships are $25.00 and single memberships are $20.00 annually. As March hits us this week, just wanted to remind everyone of the changes for this year.
First:
Memberships are due no later than May the 1st of the year. You may either mail (NO CASH) or bring to a meeting (3rd Thursday of the month except December). Mailed memberships must have a postmark of May 1 or before and include the membership form.
No memberships will be accepted for the current year after May 1st.
Second:
At any of our functions, the non-member entry fee will be $10.00 more than the fee that a member pays.
Third:
The dates for the 2025 fun series have been set, and are as follows.
If you want to pay member entry fees remember you must be paid in full no later than May 1st. Membership will not be accepted after May 1st, you will no longer be able to join the first night of the fun series.
Fun Series Dates:
2025 Monday Nights-
June 9, June 16, June 23
August 4, August 11, August 18
Award Show Saturday September 6
There are no shows during the month of July.
We do hope to see all of you there. Hopefully we have good weather on all of our Monday nights this year.

Meredith Lewis owner of Fiddlesticks Farm will be speaking at our meeting on Feb 20th be at 7:00. We will be discussing our club having an obstacle clinic at her facility. Hope to see you there.

Reminders:
No January Meeting. The next meeting will be February, 20th, 2025.
Also all memberships must be received no later than May 1, 2025. They can be mailed with the membership form and payment to

This is the last 3rd Thursday meeting for the 2024 year. Our December meeting combines with our holiday get together on Sunday December 15th . Please do let us know if you plan to attend the December meeting. It is only for members.

Reminder. All 2025 membership dues must be paid no later than May 1,2025 must be postmarked May 1 or prior. Please mail checks or money orders only. Do not mail cash. You can also join at a meeting.

Let us know if you need a membership form.

Also, consider giving your friend, family or child their 2025 membership as a gift for the holiday. I will make up gift certificates for anyone interested (upon receipt of payment and information on who the gift is for).

We do not have dates yet for our fun series.
