‼️ Carriage Rides for TONIGHT 12-13-24 will be postponed until next Friday‼️ Due to the weather and safety of the horses we decided to postpone the carriage rides! But Thankfully Circle C Carriages agreed to come next Friday Dec. 20th! Thank you all for understanding!

There's nothing like walking through downtown Bedford on a December evening. The streets are aglow with twinkling lights, the air is crisp, and the sound of Christmas music drifts softly through the night, bringing a sense of nostalgia and joy!

Excited to add Atlantic to our schedule this year! Remember, get there early to ensure you get a ride!

Carriage rides are back on Thursday nights, starting THIS Thursday, December 12th!

🌟Enjoy a FREE carriage ride under the glow of the Downtown lights from 5-7PM and then enjoy some hot chocolate and visit Santa's Cabin from 5:30-7PM. All activities are located in Atlantic City Park.🎅

We are often asked “what is your business?” Followed by the next question of “what goes into something like that?”

Well, here is your post of knowledge! For an event that we book, here are the average things we do to get ready to give rides to you!

1. Cleaning horses and carriages: On average we spend an hour or two before each event caring for our horses, brushing, sometimes washing, and clipping our horses. We spend an average of an hour making sure our carriages are up to par and looking pretty for the public.
2. Traveling to the event: This time varies as we travel anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours to an event. We do on occasion travel further depending on the event.
3. Harnessing and hooking to carriages: This takes on average approximately one hour.
4. Time for rides: We schedule per ride, some events are just an hour, others are three hours!
5. Unhitching/Harnessing: everything can be packed up and in the trailer just 45 minutes after we are done giving our last ride.
6. Once we are home, we typically care for our horses and make sure everything is cared for before calling it an evening!

The Indian Creek Historical Society is looking for vendors to participate in a fun filled weekend selling their goods during the Iowa Hand Cornhusking and National Hand Cornhusking Competition on October 19th and 20th. If you or someone you know is interested in this please message Liz Ungry, number attached in the graphic, for more information!

The Cornhusking event attracts competitors from 9 different states as well as many spectators. The Indian Creek Historical Society and Museum has a great space to offer for their vendors. It is sure to be a GREAT weekend!

Rhet and Rhye harnessed for the first time today. They didn’t do too bad. Had a little bit of a rodeo, but that is to be expected! They are really good boys!

A day at the state fair for our mares today!

Saige and Sierra (and Jeff) represented well receiving first in the carriage turn-out class featuring our flatbed vis-a-vis carriage. They also received Best Matched Team among other ribbons throughout the day!

Did the Union County Fair parade this evening. Was an honor to give Dan Stephens a ride. He was inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame this year for Union County. Congrats!

We were on the road today!

Saige and Sierra headed to Guthrie Center to help out the ACGC FFA chapter with rides during the Farmers Market.

Bonnie and Frank got dolled up for the parade as they escorted the class of ‘64 in Red Oak this morning.

What a great morning it was to enjoy being outside and with our horses!
