Congratulations to our latest group of STAR Puppy and Canine Good Citizen graduates!! We have had such fun and are so proud to be part of your journey!
Stay tuned to see these guys keep progressing!
New classes starting soon!!
Thus has been SUCH a great class! I can’t believe we are almost done! In to the next one! There are new classes starting soon for all ages and levels! Come have fun learning with us!
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Hope you got everything you were wishing for today!
Halloween puppies for your day!
Come join us at the Habersham County Shelter for a great adoption event!
For our first SPOOKTACULAR event we'll recreate the vet's office! The goal will be to get your dog more confident with restraint, weird surfaces, odd smells, putting on a muzzle, being taken away by a stranger, nail trims, and ear cleanings. This will be a one hour event with limited space to make sure each dog has the time they need to get comfortable and build confidence with the exercises. Cost is $30. EDIT: Change of date to Monday 10/16 @ 8pm, and I would consider adding a Tuesday at noon if there is interest
Do you feel like you need more group practice for your dog to have a nice polite greeting?
THEN I HAVE EXCITING NEWS! If you have taken Manners 101 with your dog any time in the past with us, you can now retake it for FREE (with the same dog)! I have 3 spots open in puppy manners at 6pm starting tonight, 2 spots in adult manners at 7pm, and 2 open spots in my 10am that starts tomorrow morning. Text me if you want the spot for a dog that you've taken the class with before. 770-301-6302 needs to be TEXT if you want to reach me about tonight. Maybe you had to miss a couple weeks, maybe you want to repeat for more practice, maybe your dog had a negative experience in public and needs a controlled environment to gain their confidence back, maybe it's been a while since you trained- whatever the reason, here's your chance to come back to class.
Get yourself a serotonin boost watching our STAR Puppy group enjoy their hard earned play break! We are sure to include a play session in each of our puppy classes to reward their work and teach them how to interact with each other!
Week Zero- a little bit on how to get a head start for Manners 101 starting on Monday evening or Tuesday morning next week.
There are still open spots if you want to sign up for our most popular group class! Manners 101 works on loose leash walking, sits, downs, stays, come when called, door manners, manners greeting people, go to place, and self control around food and other dogs.
Start motivational leash walking early with your puppy! Corvus has beautiful leash walking at only 4 months old from consistent reward practice. I don't force this position, so he's free to walk further out when he wants to sniff and look at things. I never let him drag or control the walk if we're on a slip lead, and other than that I just reward when he's beside me. So in stretches in between things to see and sniff, this is where he chooses to be.

35 seconds from week 4 of my Manners 101 class! Don't forget to sign up for one of our upcoming Fall sessions to practice self control around lots of realistic distractions.
It's 10 seconds of the happiest puppy working for his breakfast!

So proud of my therapy dog class! Not everyone has the goal to do therapy work, but they all want a companion who can control themselves and stay calm and sweet around distractions. I'll offer another therapy class this Fall, so go ahead and get into Manners 101 for July if you're a new beginner.
Make life with your dog easier!
Join our next Manners 101 for help teaching leash walking, sits, downs, door manners, stays, no jumping/mouthing, come when called, self control around other dogs and food!
Choose Tuesday mornings 11am-12pm OR Tuesday evenings 7-8pm starting July 11th. The class repeats at the time you choose for 5 consecutive weeks (assuming no emergency postponements) and the total tuition is $130
4 month old board and train Maggie has been here for a week yesterday. Her training is taking form. This is some unedited video with original sound, so you can see what our training style looks like as far as pet obedience. I'd do some things different for competition style obedience, but what most training dogs come for is realistic practice with their self control around every day distractions. She's a good girl!
Join us next year for a whole year of training!
Always max distractions at my house. Board and train Harper doing much better on his leash walking and not wanting to chase other dogs when they run. He is a 10 month old huge lab puppy who has been here about a week.
