Mountain Morning Pooch Playgroup!

We had our own “surprise guests” at the shelter today! Cole and Darrell from NewsTalk 94.3FM WCHM joined us for 🐾 PLAYGROUP 🐾 this morning! Being able to show our friends the difference in the dogs walking through the kennels vs. interacting in a playgroup was so much fun! Reminder: don’t judge a dog from their kennel behavior in a shelter! Most of these dogs were barking their heads off at our visitors- but playful and happy when out of the stressful environment.

We’re sure by now you’ve seen some of the super cute 👻 Ghost Dog 👻 videos circulating social media. Now that it’s 🎃 SOOOKY SEASON 🎃 we decided to try letting shelter dogs play dress up! Those influencers made it look so easy- it was way harder than we thought 🤣🤣 Looking for a friend this fall? 🍂 come visit HCACC to meet your pal!

Maggie

🐾 Adoptable Maggie is looking for someone to love her! 🐾 Maggie was returned to the shelter recently after being in a home for two years due to her humans divorce. Maggie is a mature lady on the higher energy side, and she needs a structured pet parent to remind her of her best behavior. Maggie has displayed some barrier reactivity with strangers causing visitors to complain about her. Due to this Maggie had had to move off the adoption side ;( Maggie simply needs to regain her confidence in a home that can help her remember what it’s like to be loved ❤️ Maggie LOVES her people and can’t get enough “butt scratches”.
