Here are a few turkey pieces that were just finished. More will be getting done over the next few weeks as well.

With turkey season opening here in Minnesota next week and already being open in surrounding states, we wanted to share a couple reminders to avoid common issues we see with turkeys. Try to not shoot them in full strut to avoid shot damage in the feathers. It’s best to handle them by the legs and take as good of care of the feathers as possible. Another good practice is to wrap the head in paper towels and rubber band a bag over the head to contain blood in the bag. Getting them into us or into a freezer as fast as possible is also important.

Good luck to everyone this spring!
