Poor pup had to go to the vet today for her shots. 💉 She wasn't too happy about it, but she was a good girl. Just don’t ask the vet. 💪

Fun Farm Fact: If you hate raking leaves, here's a great reason not to! Leaves provide essential habitat for a variety of wildlife species during fall and winter including insects (a critical food source for birds), butterfly larvae, frogs, toads, turtles, native bees. It also improves soil health, conserves water and cuts down on greenhouse gases.

💧firefighters at the Spelter Fire Department are going above and beyond to help our community during this dry spell. Today, they delivered much-needed water to our livestock. Thank you for your dedication and service!

Due to the ongoing drought, we have well water and we're watering our livestock daily. We have containers ready to store the water, but they're too heavy for us to haul.

We're reaching out to see if any local fire departments would be able to assist us by delivering water. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, what a cool bubble vendor we had!

She generously donated her time and supplies, and let me tell you, she was a HUGE hit! The kids (and maybe some adults ) had a blast chasing those bubbles all afternoon.

A big thank you to Laura Myers! We loved the bubbles, and for those who want to recreate the magic at home, check out the creator’s website www.bubblewagon.com for tips on how to make your own.

Giant Bubbles Recipe:

1 Gallon Distilled Water
3 Cups of Dawn Professional Pot&Pan (Sam’s Club or online)
1 1/8 cup of vegetable glycerin (Amazon)
2 Gallons of Sun Squad Bubbles from Target
For best results, mix AT LEAST 24 hours in advance

Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve gotten a few questions about why I share information about other farms similar to Wild Goats Farm. The simple answer is that I’m not just doing this for me; I’m doing it for all the kids and adults who love animals and the outdoors. With not very many activities in our area, it’s important to provide kids with more opportunities to participate in all the fun and educational experiences. They’ll live, learn, and grow. 🌳🐐 So, if you know of any other great activities in the area, please feel free to share them.

We are open today 1-4. Reminder we will be closed next weekend.

Sky’s Birthday

Today’s is Sky’s Birthday! He is one year old and the sweetest little guy on the farm.

Interesting fact about Emus: they won a war! Emus in Australia! The Great Emu War is indeed a unique event in history. It took place in 1932 and was a wildlife management military operation aimed at controlling the population of emus that had become a nuisance to farmers in Western Australia. During this time, large numbers of emus were migrating into farmland, causing damage to crops. The Australian government sent a group of soldiers armed with machine guns to assist the farmers in reducing the emu population. However, the operation did not go as planned, and the emus proved to be quite elusive and resilient. Despite their best efforts, the soldiers found it challenging to successfully target and eliminate the emus. The emus, being swift and agile, were able to outrun the soldiers and evade their gunfire, resulting in limited success. In the end, the operation was considered a failure, as the emu population was not significantly reduced. It is a fascinating and somewhat humorous event in history, showcasing the unique challenges humans can face when dealing with wildlife.

Phoebe decided to disappear and have her babies but bright and early this morning we were able to track her and bring the babies home! I know we have had some people waiting to see these little ones so here’s our official announcement; the baby piglets have arrived!!! (Pictures to come!)
