The past days have been emotionally trying, but the community has rallied around us. First and foremost, we want to thank Bennett Creek Animal Hospital for their amazing efforts to save the Nemo pups from Parvo. Parvo has as high as a 91% mortality rate in puppies, and Bennett Creek Animal Hospital's unwavering dedication to helping these pups has left us in awe, and we are so grateful.

Pictured here is Dory, she was released to home from the vet and doing well, until her behavior changed tonight and she stopped eating. She is currently on her way back to the vet. We are sending positive thoughts to Dory and the vet team taking care of her. She is still in the fight for her life, and we will not stop fighting with her.

Thank you to everyone who has donated. The community has truly embraced us and fought this fight with us. If you are in a position to help, please click here: https://magsr.org/donate/medical-fund

Thank you all for your continued support. All healing thoughts to Dory tonight.

This little 10 month old puppy, Jinx, (new name pending) was surrendered to our hospital because she needed a forelimb amputation to give her the best care she needed. After her amputation surgery, some antibiotics, other medical treatments, and some TLC, Jinx is absolutely thriving!
While the Humane Society sometimes helps cover surrendered dogs’ medical bills in the interim of finding them an owner, they decided as a pitbull and an amputee that this sweet girl would not be as adoptable as other dogs - They therefore declined to help cover any the surgery costs. We are all helping to cover costs as well but would appreciate support in helping to offset the first wave of medical bills. We have a potential home for her and she loves the humans and other animals there. She loves to snuggle and play fetch! Please consider supporting or sharing. Thank you!

March 20th is National Westie Day! The Westie's roots lie in Scotland, where it and other related terriers were used to rid farms and surrounding countryside of rodents, fox, badger and other small mammals. At the time, the breeds we now know as the West Highland White, Scottish, Cairn, and Skye Terriers were all grouped together as Scotch terriers.
