e will continue to post periodic updates as we move toward opening day this Fall. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the many loyal friends, clients, Clarksburg neighbors, consultants, and our families for standing by us year after year as we worked toward our dream of opening a beautiful modern animal hospital to provide the highest quality pet care for our community. Preventive Healthcare

Wellness checkups, vaccinations, f***l checks, and preventive treatments for parasites (fleas, ticks, and worms) help maintain optimum health for your pet. Dr. Walcoff and his experienced technicians can help guide you through your options for the best routine wellness and prevention plan to meet your pet's individual needs. Geriatric Screenings

We offer full diagnostic work-ups for the early detection and treatment of disease in our older patients. Dentistry

Regular ultrasonic dental cleanings are an important part of maintaining your pet's health. In our state-of-the-art dentistry suite we offer digital dental radiography to take X-ray pictures of the teeth, bones, and surrounding soft tissues. These pictures are available within moments on our advanced computer system to enable our staff to screen for and identify problems with the teeth, mouth and jaw including cavities, hidden dental structures (such as wisdom teeth), and bone loss that can not be seen during a routine visual examination. Dental X-rays may also be done as follow-up after dental treatments. Laboratory Services

Complete blood counts, serum chemistry profiles, urine and f***l testing, as well as specific tests for heart worm disease, lyme disease, ehrlichosis, feline leukemia, feline AIDS and others can be performed in minutes in our hospital laboratory. Additional and more complex testing services are also available. Pharmacy and Prescription Diets

Prescription medicines, parasite prevention regimens, flea and tick control products and prescription pet food are available from our convenient in-house pharmacy. HOSPITALIZATION AND SPECIAL SERVICES: For our very sick patients we provide hospitalization and intensive care as well as a specialized isolation area for patients with contagious diseases. Anesthesia, Surgery and Recovery

Pre-anesthetic blood testing, state-of-the-art monitoring devices and modern anesthetic and pain control regimens make necessary surgeries on your beloved pets as safe and worry free as possible. Our advanced surgery suite has positive airflow to help maintain the most sterile environment for surgical procedures. Our recovery area is equipped with the latest in specialty monitoring devices and is located adjacent to the hospital treatment area to ensure your pet's post-operative care and comfort. Hospitalization and Intensive Care

Your pet's care and comfort are most important to us. Our large hospital ward features comfortable and well equipped space for your pet to recover and receive ongoing treatment. For our sickest patients, we have intensive care and a separate isolation ward equipped with a negative airflow system to ensure pets who might have a contagious condition receive specialized care with minimal risk to other pets. X-RAYS: Our in-house digital radiology lab allows Dr. Walcoff to take the most advanced X-rays on site in our hospital and view them immediately so he can make a rapid diagnosis of your pet's illness or injury. Digital Radiology

Digital radiology may represent the greatest technological advancemrnt in medical imaging over the last decade. Our hospital has its own digital radiography (in addition to our digital dental radiography capability). Radiographs and specialized contrast techniques are valuable diagnostic tools and can play an important role in determining the best course of treatment and care for your pet. EXOTIC PETS: Dr. Walcoff has extensive medical and surgical experience in treating all types of exotic pets. Birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, guinea pigs, and all other pocket pets receive quality, knowledgeable care.

This little 10 month old puppy, Jinx, (new name pending) was surrendered to our hospital because she needed a forelimb amputation to give her the best care she needed. After her amputation surgery, some antibiotics, other medical treatments, and some TLC, Jinx is absolutely thriving!
While the Humane Society sometimes helps cover surrendered dogs’ medical bills in the interim of finding them an owner, they decided as a pitbull and an amputee that this sweet girl would not be as adoptable as other dogs - They therefore declined to help cover any the surgery costs. We are all helping to cover costs as well but would appreciate support in helping to offset the first wave of medical bills. We have a potential home for her and she loves the humans and other animals there. She loves to snuggle and play fetch! Please consider supporting or sharing. Thank you!

March 20th is National Westie Day! The Westie's roots lie in Scotland, where it and other related terriers were used to rid farms and surrounding countryside of rodents, fox, badger and other small mammals. At the time, the breeds we now know as the West Highland White, Scottish, Cairn, and Skye Terriers were all grouped together as Scotch terriers.

❗️Say hello to our groomer Kayla❗️

Kayla grew up in the Virginia Woods in a house filled with dogs. When she graduated from high school she moved to Maryland and attended an academy for grooming.

Since 2019 she has been bringing clients' visions for their pups to life and exploring the creative space of grooming. Kayla believes that if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life, and thinks that grooming and all it has to offer fits that nicely.

Outside of work she will either be spoiling Kona (her lab mix), or gaming on the computer. Call us today to schedule a grooming appointment with Kayla!
