Canine Companions Rescue Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation founded in 2004 for the purpose of working with the community and area animal control agencies to promote the adoption of dogs without families. We also advocate spaying/neutering animals and provide support and education to the community regarding the proper care of dogs. If our adopters and our dogs are both happier after the ma

tch, then we've done our job! CCRC is based in Oakland County and we rescue dogs throughout Michigan.

⭐️UPDATE on BULLDOG PUDGE⭐️

Pudge has been evaluated by Dr. Milam and Dr. Gums (Orthopedic Surgeon) at Orion Oaks Animal Hospital🏥

He has a severe Brachial Plexus injury that affects his whole right arm, right shoulder and into his spinal area. Due to the severity, he will lose his right arm by amputation😕

Think of it as a “dead limb”. He is currently using it to lean on but in time that will cause other structural issues in his body.

With that being said, we do not know when this injury occurred. If it is recent and with the severity of nerve damage it can still progress around and down to the other arm. That is worst case scenario and we absolutely DO NOT WANT THAT🙏

Current Plan: we are going to monitor the integrity of his left arm for the next couple weeks and if he does not lose any feeling in the left arm, we will move forward with the amputation of the right arm. Pudge will then be the cutest tripod you ever did see and live his best life🧡

In the meantime, he gets to be the first client to use Dr. Milam’s new laser therapy with hopes of helping the working nerves to become stronger⭐️
