If you plan to put a costume on your pet, make sure it follows these guidelines: fits properly and is comfortable, doesn't have any pieces that easily can be chewed off or cause choking, doesn't block your pet's sight, hearing, breathing, mouth, or movement. Take time before Halloween to get your pet accustomed to the costume, and never leave a costumed pet unsupervised.

This week Sweet Dolores is our adoptable pet of the week. She loves to play, snuggle, and gets the kitten zoomies and is gorgeous to top it off. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

“I would just like to say that this veterinarian clinic and their team are amazing! My family took a 2.5 hour trip to Clarkston, WA. I completely forgot to pack my ferret's medication. By the time we realized this, we wouldn't have made it back home in time to give him his dose. His regular vet was closed for the weekend. Without his medication he would be having seizures and possibly die. I called after hours for the on-call emergency vet. Dr. Thueson was so amazing! She got my lil guy a dose in the time it took us to drive ten minutes from a gas station to the clinic! Ya'll are amazing and thank you so much! “

Meet our current rescues! We have some awesome dogs and cats that are now looking to find their forever homes.

1. Dolores: Beautiful charcoal kitten, Expert biscuit maker. Will add joy and biscuits to any house who is lucky enough to have her.

2. Grizz: 9 month old sweet boy, Lover of all things. Nothing can stop that tail from wagging.

3. Rocky & Mickey: Two of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet! Love scratches and will head nuzzle you for more pets.

4. Chonks: Chill as chill can be. Would love to relax with you after a long day and listen to your problems. Also handsome as a bonus.

5. Rotato: Had a rough start to life (was hit by a car and broke her leg) but is not letting that slow her down. Sweet as a button.
