GCS had a perfect Derby Friday at WEC! Greg piloted Amy Mulrenin’s KINGWEIS WV to the win in the $15k USHJA National Derby Open with double 94 scores! Less than an hour later, Ava rode Limelight Farms’ NASTURTIUM to the win in the $1500 USHJA Pony Derby! It was the perfect end to a great day! Addie King had a stellar weekend at WEC after some time away from riding while at college. She stepped right back into the show ring with DONATELLO and finished 8th in the $15k Non Pro derby along with multiple top 3 placings in the Children’s hunters. She also finished Reserve Champion in the Children’s Hunter division with SKYSCRAPER along with a 2nd place finish in the NAL Children’s Classic and 12th in the Derby! What a great way to finish off her junior career. Way to go, Addie!

Ava Crolick & the Chase’s TRADEWIND had a spectacular day at the Capital Challenge Horse Show! They won the second round of the Younger Children’s hunters over fences with a score of 88! Later, they took on the highly competitive WCHR Children’s Hunter Challenge where they tied for the highest average score of 87.5 and ultimately finished 3rd🥉. Huge thanks to Carole & Katie Chase for giving Ava the ride on Teddy. We think these two are a perfect pair!

Greg & Chappy jumped to top placings in the High Performance Hunter division to take home the championship tricolor this week at Capital Challenge. Our adult amateurs finished their summer show season with great results! Shaunnah Anderson & CAPTAIN JACK moved up to the 3’3” A/O’s and had consistent rounds & scores, including a 2nd place finish and score of 85 in the handy during TC Fall 2! Nikki Jeffries & CLOONEY had two great weeks of showing, winning the reserve championship in the older adult hunters both weeks with three class wins and many consistent scores in the 80s! Ava Crolick finished her time in Traverse City on a high note. She moved up to the 3’3 Junior hunters on Carole Chase’s TRADEWIND and had two class wins which earned them the reserve championship and qualified this pair for Junior Hunter finals in 2025! Ava also had beautiful rides on Limelight Farms’ NASTURTIUM to earn the championship in the green pony division two weeks in a row while also winning the Traverse City derby on Flower during the first week! Great riding, Ava!

We would also like to congratulate Ava on qualifying for indoors and wish her best of luck this fall! Capital Challenge 🔜

What a weekend for our short stirrup superstar during Traverse City Fall! CAPTAIN CRUNCH finished champion in both the Short Stirrup hunter and equitation divisions along with a 2nd place finish in the classic. HEART TO FORGET was Reserve Champion, classic winner and 3rd in the 2’ Traverse City derby during their first show together! We are so proud of all of the good riding and great results.

Vella Mulrenin had a great week at Traverse City Tournament of Champions with two horses! She was 1st & 3rd in the Pre Child/Adult jumpers with DIARONIMO with multiple good rounds. On LUCA, she was reserve champion in the Low Children’s hunters & also finished 8th in the 2’6” hunter Derby! LUCA was also champion in the USHJA 2’9” division earlier in the week with Greg. We are very proud of Vella with these two new rides!

Maya Rahaim & CATWALK kicked off September in style winning the $5k USHJA National Hunt & Go derby during the Traverse City Tournament of Champions! This pair had scores of 89 & 87 to take the win and were awarded the Platinum Performance hunter trip of the week. “Walker” was also champion in the 3’6” performance division during the week with Greg and was a class winner in the small junior hunters with Maya. Qualified & earned top ribbons at Devon in pro divisions as well as ribbons in derbies this year. Uncomplicated enough for an amateur or junior, but could also excel in the equitation ring .
