What is the unique marking that Kodi has on his nose?

The unique marking in question is known as the Huntersbroad Crest, it has also been referred to as “the hallmark of excellence” and is inherited from the Huntersbroad Line. It is believed that this line originated from Dachshunds native to England and France.

It typically appears on the back of the neck but can be on the bridge of the snout and underneath the chin.

Meet Kodi. Kodi traveled all the way from Tennessee to join my Adawna's Adorable Dachshunds pack. I will be retiring Chaska after one last breeding with Charlotte and both will be altered. Kodi will then step into the role of "Stud" when he's old enough, and after he's been in the show ring gathering his points.

Both his parents are AKC Champions and with his breeders assistance Kodi will follow suit. I have a lot to learn in the coming months, and am looking forward to this new adventure.

I can't thank his co-breeders enough for trusting me with such a perfect pup. I feel honored.

This is Jackie, aka "Wynonna", and her new family. We drove to John Day, Oregon today to deliver her to them. They are visiting family in Oregon and will be flying home, Jackie included, to their home in Mission Viejo, California on Saturday. Their young daughter didn't realize the puppy was going home with them. She thought we just stopped by to share some puppy love. When she finally realized Jackie was their new pup, boy oh boy, the tears flowed.

A happy girl + a happy family = a happy heart for all! ❤️❤️❤️
