Please remember, animals don't know what fireworks are and they don't understand that they aren't a threat to them (We will refrain from getting on our soapbox). Take your dogs out to potty after dinner and wait until the fireworks end before taking them back outside. If you have to go to bed before the fireworks stop and you absolutely cannot wait to take them out, make sure you're using a secure leash (not a retractable) and a secure collar (tight enough and not one where the clip can break if they jerk away). If your dog has an accident, don't get mad at them. They don't understand what's happening. They are experiencing genuine fear. Accidents can be cleaned.
