FOUR PAWS UP to our friends at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel for choosing us as their charity of choice for their recent employee blue jeans day fundraiser, which raised $1,169 for the Humane Society!!

We will be using this generous donation to replenish our Cats MEOW TNR fund, which is puuuurrfect timing with kitten season right around the corner. Remember, if you are feeding outdoor cats, PLEASE make sure you are fixing them! We can help for just $40 per cat. Message us or the TNR page for more info!

On cold days, we recommend making a habit of banging on the hood & honking the horn before starting your car to ward off furry friends who may have climbed inside to keep warm. This small effort could SAVE AN ANIMAL'S LIFE!

DONATION CHALLENGE for LIQUID LAUNDRY DETERGENT...

Our spay-neuter clinic runs upwards of 10 loads of laundry per day keeping our furry clients toasty & clean after surgery. Any brands are fine as long as it's liquid!

Donations can be dropped off anytime next week Monday-Saturday 9am-2pm. We are located at 940 Tennessee Ave. (behind Arby's on Riverside Dr.). Online order deliveries are welcome, too! THANK YOU!

OFFICE CLOSURE: Our spay-neuter clinic, re-tail store, and pet food bank will be closed on FRI, JAN 10 and SAT, JAN 11 due to the approaching winter storm that is projected to dump 6-8 inches of snow in the Clarksville area. All spay-neuter surgery clients were emailed and/or called to offer alternative surgery dates.

If you see an animal in distress, call Montgomery County Animal Care and Control after hours emergency dispatch at 931-249-1304. Please limit calls to this # for emergencies only.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE PETS OUTDOORS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME, and if you are caring for feral friend colonies, remember to use straw for bedding (blankets will freeze!) & feed a little extra to help them maintain their body heat.

Check out these adorable handmade ornaments donated to help us raise a little $$$ before year's end. Cost is just $5 each & will be used to replenish our No Mama Left Behind fund, which provides FREE spay surgeries for mama dogs & cats that are saved by rescue organizations along with their babies from high risk shelter situations. This fund has fixed 66 mamas this year!

It was all hands on deck (including the vet!) to get this boy prepped for his neuter surgery this week. His new family got him from someone who didn't understand the work and expense involved in keeping up with a doodle's unique coat. Failure to do that can result in terrible matting that becomes extremely painful cutting into the skin and creating sores, infections, and in the summer months even maggots are common to find. For our purposes, we just need to find the you-know-whats, BUT while he was here having the best nap of his life it just made sense to shave him down. We warned his family it may not be that pretty since we aren't professional groomers, BUT we could at least provide some immediate relief. We sent him home with a bonus mohawk (great job, Jenny!), bandana and a FREE winter jacket from our Re-Tail Store (his now naked body thanks us). Just another example of our incredible team going above and beyond to help animals in our community.

😻ADOPTED!😻

JULIE has been patiently waiting at Montgomery County Animal Care and Control since 8/20/24, and we absolutely cannot figure out why she has not been adopted yet! She was a purrfect doll while at our clinic last week, and despite having 30 other animals in the building to be fixed, our expert cat wrangler Jenny sure did try to give her some extra love while here.

Montgomery Co Friends of the Shelter swooped in to sponsor her spay, which brings her adoption fee down to a very affordable $13!!

Let's share this post in hopes of helping Julie find a furrever home for the holidays.🎅🏼❤️🌲 Please visit the shelter at 616 N. Spring St. to meet Julie or the dozens of other cats, dogs, and occasional bunnies in need of homes every day.

Any animal that has been at the shelter for longer than 30 days becomes part of the shelter's "Lonely Hearts Club." These animals benefit from reduced adoption fees ($85 includes fix, vaccinations, and microchip!). If you are not in the market to adopt, please consider sponsoring the spay-neuter for a shelter pet to reduce their adoption fee and increase their adoptability.

Any donation made here on Julie's post will be matched up to $500 by our existing Spay It Forward fund & used exclusively to fix animals at MCACC.❤️
