Meet Blue Boy!
This handsome boy is four-year-old Bully mix, and he is currently looking for his forever home! Blue Boy was owner released to the shelter because he was too much for them to handle, now he is available for adoption! This sweet boy is a dominant dog and tends to not do well with intact males, he may do best as the only dog in the home, we do not know how he does with cats, but we do offer trial adoptions and meet and greets! Blue Boy is great with kiddos, but can play a little rough due to his size. Blue Boy is house trained, so no worries about big messes! Blue Boy is HW NEGATIVE, UTD on vaccines, and is ready to be adopted today!

At this minute, 23 years ago, America changed forever. Thousands of innocent Americans would die within 2 hours and we cannot express, in words, the pain and suffering that would result.

As a dog rescue, we want to take this moment to honor the hundreds of dogs that would instantly spring into action, at the command of their handlers, to search for survivors and recover casualties from the 9/11 attacks.

Many died in the wreckage due to unstable areas of The Pile. Many more died prematurely due to side effects of the smoke and toxins. But each and every one of them answered their call of duty without hesitation and without regard for the consequences.

We ask each of you to pause in this moment and honor every life lost on 9/11/2001 or as a result of the attack on our country 23 years ago.

🥳 Grinch Found His Forever Home!🎄💚

We're over the moon to announce that Grinch has been adopted by the most loving couple! They met him at The Thirsty Goat yesterday and knew instantly he was the one. 🤗

Grinch is a special boy with separation anxiety and a tendency to destroy kennels. But that didn't scare off his new family. They're already exploring doggy daycare options to help him feel more comfortable. 💓

We're so grateful for this amazing couple's willingness to love Grinch through his fears. No dog is perfect, and no human is perfect. Together, they'll create a beautiful life filled with love and companionship. 💗

We are so grateful for our community! We have received many in-kind donations over the past couple of weeks (not all are pictured here, but all are equally appreciated)! We also received $730 from the event to honor rescue animals for Sebastian. 💚

After being evicted, Bella's humans felt they had no other option than to chain her to a railing outside the Humane Society of Clarksville - Montgomery County.

We understand that an eviction is typically a very stressful and dynamic time in one's life but abandoning a pet is absolutely unacceptable. Additionally, the Humane Society is *not* an animal rescue or shelter. They do not have after-hours staff and they are *not* a safe haven for abandoned pets.

Bella's saving grace was that her humans notified us about an hour after initially chaining her to the railing. Had they not notified us, and had we not checked our messages and responded promptly, Bella would have remained chained to that railing with no cover from the heat from 9pm Saturday until 7am Tuesday.

We immediately dispatched a volunteer and contacted the Clarksville Police Department and Montgomery County Animal Care and Control. CPD deferred enforcement action to MCACC who arrived approximately 2 hours later and took custody of the dog.

The owners signed surrender paperwork with MCACC on Tuesday morning and we pulled sweet Bella shortly after.

At her vet exam, an established flea infestation was discovered (hundreds of fleas). She has severe flea allergy dermatitis and other minor lumps and bumps.

She received all shots, a nice, long, warm flea bath, and a hearty dinner.

Next, we will be at Black Rifle Coffee Company for Mutts & Mochas tomorrow (Saturday) from 8am-11am with adoptable Mutts! Find your new best friend and enjoy 50% off Mochas during the event! ☕️

Then, come on out to The Fallen Brewery for Sebastian’s Rescue Ride on Saturday at 2pm. We have all been told how much Sebastian Rogers loves animals. We were honored when Sebastian’s family reached out to ask if we would be the beneficiary of an event to honor Sebastian’s love for animals. Join us with Sebastian’s family for Sebastian’s Rescue Ride to continue raising awareness of his disappearance. 🙏

Motorcycles & All Vehicles are welcome and a donation is not required to participate. Those making the $25 donation will receive a custom t-shirt, a bracelet, and food/drinks following the Prayer Vigil. All proceeds benefit Mikaela’s Mutt Motel in honor of Sebastian’s love for animals. We will have adoptable Mutts as well.

💔🌈 Our Chief Grants Officer, Amanda, was forced to say an untimely goodbye to her sweet Husky, Khali, on August 20th. Khali succumbed to immune-mediated hemolytic anemia within a few short hours. 🌈💔

"Our beloved Khali, a gentle and kind-hearted Husky mix whose presence in our lives was marked by her gentle demeanor and affectionate nature, making her an integral part of our family.

Khali’s love for food was only matched by her love for cuddles, often preferring the comfort of a soft spot to rest over vigorous play. Her relaxed disposition brought a calming presence to our home, and her loyalty was unwavering, always by our side during moments of joy and sorrow.

Shedding her fluffy coat everywhere she went, Khali’s warmth and companionship were a constant source of comfort. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was lounging in the sun or sharing quiet moments with her loved ones.

Khali, you were more than just a pet; you were a cherished member of our family. Your gentle soul and loving spirit touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. As we bid farewell, we hold onto the memories of your tender moments and the love you shared so freely.
