Well, folks, you won't believe who stopped by our shop today! Turns out, even the famous Tennessee escaped zebra is a fan of aquatic plants! We think he was here to apply for a job. After all, he does demonstrate extensive social media skills since he knows how to go viral. Or, perhaps he was here thinking he just hit the jackpot for a delicious buffet of beautiful aquatic plants!

DEAL OF THE DAY!

If you're new to Caridina Shrimp these are awesome shrimp to start with! They're the same care as a Neocaridina. They just take different water parameters. We have the mineral powder they require and the food they eat here. Just add R.O. or Distilled water and you're set! Mix the TDS to140 with the mineral powder we sell, keep them in a pH of 5.4-6.4 and you'll have a beautiful shrimp zooming around in your tank!

Caridina shrimp really are no harder to keep than Neocaridina Shrimp! The annoying and unfortunate common misconception that has been kicked around way too long in the hobby is that Caridina are harder and Neocaridina are easier. It stems from many Neocaridina Shrimp keepers trying to keep Caridina shrimp in the same water parameters. They were uneducated and think because they were successful with Neos that there tank can successfully keep Caridina. Then they put the Caridina Shrimp in the Neocaridina Shrimp water and wonder why they don't make it. If you follow our water parameters you will be 100% successful! We have showed many new to shrimp keeping hobbyists be 100% successful first try with Caridina Shrimp keeping. We gave them the tools and knowledge as far as parameters go so they can be successful. It's really that easy! If you have a 5-20 gallon tank sitting around why not give them a shot and see just how easy they're. Then once you find out you'll be opening up your hobby to the wonderful world of Caridina Shrimp keeping! 😎
