HUGE shoutout to all of our vendors and customers LITERALLY sweating their butts off at yesterday's show.

If you noticed it was a bit warmer inside than usual we just want to apologize! The AC pooped out on us leaving the front half of the main room a hot spot. 🔥

Please extend some grace while the shrine club gets this fixed. We now have provisions in place should this ever be an issue again.

Hope you all still had fun and we will see you next month!

Did you know that today is National Hike with a Geek Day? Treat your favorite reptile geek to a nice hike in a nearby park and be prepared to flip some logs! In the meantime, post some pictures (and tips) for those who go out herping (looking for those wild reptiles and amphibians)!

Let's revisit some Reptile Enrichment! It's definitely warmer, now, and many people are taking their reptiles outside. Do you take any of your reptiles outside? Share your personal pros and cons so others can weigh them if they decide to take their pets outside, too!

It's the copperhead! The copperhead (Agkistrodon contortrix) has a wide range across North America and includes five subspecies.

💡They are dimorphic, with males being larger than females.

💡Though you should definitely seek medical attention for any venomous snakebite, only about 10% of coppherhead bites are serious. In fact, many bites are "dry bites" But again, go get checked out if you get bitten!

💡Their habits change with the seasons! Extreme heat has some unpleasant effects on reptiles, too, so in the peak summer months, copperheads hunt in the late afternoon or early morning during this time of year.

💡Like the other pit vipers of North America, copperheads do not lay eggs. You will never stumble across a copperhead nest, as they are live-bearers!

Meet the Hawksbill Sea turtle, everyone. We like to have some weird facts on Wednesdays, but the Hawksbill Sea Turtle looks...well....like you might expect! So what is so weird about it?
