Y’all keep Abel in your thoughts and send him good vibes 🤞Hes really been going through it here lately and just needs to catch a break. At first we were told he had a UTI so we treated that and then he started to decline again. We hope to know more tomorrow once bloodwork comes back. As for now he’s being treated for a couple types of infections and is on 2 antibiotics that are more aggressive than what he was on in the beginning. Hopefully tomorrow brings answers for this guy.

Miss ma’am ended up having 10 pups. 3 girls and 7 boys. We can’t wait to watch them grow. This has been a long time in the making. Thanks to Meredith Emory at WickedMoon Kennel! We have made it happen. The first 10 of what’s gonna be the Roman Blue Blood. We don’t know which ones will be available just yet, but stay tuned to find out!

For those who have gotten a pup from us then you’ve probably heard me talk about how I spent a good chunk of my life breeding working dogs that I used to hog hunt with in Florida. I have heavily been into the Corso scene for the last 6 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it! After breeding and owning these amazing dogs I KNEW I HAD to do something amazing with them! I know they are amazing working dogs and they have the heart of a Lion 🦁 A couple of years ago I made a puppy swap with Meredith Emory from WickedMoon Kennels and I got my first Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog. It was at that point that I knew adding the Alapaha into my program would make for one BADASS working dog! Meredith beat me to the punch and has produced what we are introducing to you guys as the Roman Blue Blood! This is a Backwoods/WickedMoon collaboration that I can promise you ain’t ready for! Here’s to the very first puppy born into our line!!!! He’s beautiful!

We are looking to rehome one of our males. His name is Abel and he will be 6 years old this coming December. He is fixed so no, he can not be used as a stud. Abel is not a dog that we produced. He came to us when he was about 2 years of age. His previous owner traveled for work and kept him boarded majority of the time that he had him. Because he wasn’t well socialized he doesn’t do the best out in public. We tried a couple times, but it was a bit much for him and he was much more content at home. Overall he is a very good boy. He is very sweet and LOVES to love and be loved on. He is very much so convinced that he is a lap dog but is as gentle as can be. He does need to go to a home where he can be an only dog as he is pretty iffy with other dogs and again that’s no fault of his own as he was boarded for the start of his life and that molded him to be very reserved. There absolutely will be a rehoming fee as we want to make sure he is going to go to a home where he will be taken care of and quite frankly if someone isn’t willing to pay that rehoming fee then we can’t expect them to take care of his needs.

So we have a new addition to the Backwoods family. She doesn’t have a name yet but she will play a huge role here and the future of our breeding program. I can’t wait to watch her grow up

It’s been a big year for us so far on the family side of things. Now there are even bigger this coming on the dog family side of things. With some help of really good friends of ours and the share of a dream. We will make things work. A huge shoutout to Jen and Eric at World Wide Cane Corso. Thank you guys for being such great friends. I always enjoy the actual honest conversations we have. That’s very rare to find these days. I always enjoy comin to hang out with you guys.

Good morning Backwoods family! This sweet girl is just over a year old and is looking for a new home. She is one that we produced, but as she is coming into her own, her very amazing parents have come to the realization that it’s just not the right fit. Sydney has an older sister that is a golden retriever and she is struggling to get along all the time. Sydney is much bigger in size therefore shows her dominance. Otherwise, she is a good girl. She just needs the right home where there isn’t another female dog. If any of our folks would be interested or know someone who would be interested please let us know as it is pretty imperative that we make something happen for this family in a timely manner.
