Did you know British and Irish sailors once believed that bringing a black cat on a ship would bring good luck to the vessel and those that sailed on it. While in Japan black cats are considered a symbol of good luck and prosperity, and are believed to attract suitors. Come visit our black cats and maybe you'll find a new kitty to bring some luck into your home.
I am as sweet as my name makes me sound! Will you be my forever family? #cats #rescue #rescuecatsrule #clarksvilletn
My name is Sweetie, I'm the longest fully adoptable kitty in the rescue. I'm sweet and loving, but not a fan of other animals. I do badly want a family of my own. Cage life is starting to make me very depressed.
It's National Adoption Week and we are looking for our furever families!

Cats Are Us Rescued Cats and Kittens
Our greatest need at this time is donations to fund veterinary care. This year is off to a challenging start with high intake numbers and many cats needing medical attention. If you would like to help by donating to a specific veterinary clininc, please give Suzanne a call at 931-503-0053 or you can donate using our PayPal account: https://paypal.me/catsareus. Please include a note saying the donation is for veterinary care.
Meanwhile, enjoy this video of cats and kittens who have found forever homes. All that we do is made possible by your support!
UPDATE: fiv/feluk test NEGATIVE! No parasites, 103.8 temp, She’s eating but still not using the bathroom other than a enema at the vet. She is still having the seizures about every 4 minutes and they last about a minute. The seizures involve twitching, dilated eyes, hiss, scared behavior and panting (no drooling at this time). The Dr. didn’t want to put her on anything for the seizures yet. She wants her to take some charcoal liquid they provided us that will be added to her food 3 x a day to expel thru her poop to get rid of toxins in her body. They gave her a sub-q fluid pocket under her skin to keep her from becoming dehydrated for 24hrs and nausea medicine. If she is or isn’t better tomorrow we are to call them for the next step. The Doctor is great and we are just hoping it will take time for all this to go thru her system.
She started out being our foster and we fell in love. Thanks to all for continued prayers and support.
Can anyone that follows us help try and determine what might be wrong with our little Hazel-Grace? She was taken to a vet today outside of the CAU network and without any blood work done they determined she had toxoplasmosis and gave her antibiotics. She seems to be getting worse and We have Googled everything! She went from acting fine to having these episodes. She acts scared and like she doesn’t know us. We need help until we can get her to one of our vets tomorrow.
