I totally forgot to post nala's picture yesterday. I didn't in home session with Nala a Belgian malinois German Shepherd mix. She gets super excited and hits pitches that you would never know a dog could do. So we worked on teaching her the quiet command and relaxing in her kennel while the other dog came out that worked with or went outside which is typically what would get her into the screaming mode. She did absolutely wonderful and we worked with her golden retriever friend on his leave it and stays.

Chicago and Cairo are almost ready for Christmas. And this Friday they get to see their family member who's been deployed for several months. Their owner has worked very hard to make sure they're very well behaved. They did very well at rural King today I am super proud of how they're progressing. When we first started working with them Chicago the larger female was very timid and nervous with new people and dogs and would kind of growl or bark. She's now become very social so social she has started sniffing and trying to eat things off the floor so it gave us new stuff to work on. Cairo gets over excited when he sees dogs and has made a lot of improvement with that and his obedience. After about 20-30 minutes of training he is just over it and you have to push him through that shut down. And then he gets right back on track. They are so pretty and they just got haircuts yesterday. So they were feeling frisky today.

This week's special for thankful November will be 4 in your home sessions. These 1-hour sessions in the Clarksville area normally cost $100 per session. This week only we are offering four 1 hour sessions for $300. That's basically by three get one free. These sessions address behavioral issues in the home. All dogs in the home can be included in this one hour training session.

Here are a few of our new service dog teams that are getting started with their training. Some are working on their task behavior that they will learn to perform to assist their handlers and some are learning basics and advanced obedience. All did very well in class today.

Service dog training at the mall today to work in the food court on restaurant training. When we work with our service dog teams we teach them proper etiquette coming into a restaurant and leaving a restaurant and how their dogs should behave and where they should be when at a restaurant. All of our dogs learn to go under the table and lay down and stay for the duration of the meal. Our handlers learn how to control them shaking any hair or drool coming to or from the restaurant and how to keep them from sniffing the ground or tables as they walk by with food.

Rose came in for just an overnight stay with us she is headed home now. He's always a good girl she can be a little dog aggressive and that's something we continue to work on with her. 1 minute she's fine with 50 dogs the next minute she targets one. Mostly due to her anxiety and she doesn't like chaos.

Chicago and Cairo participated in a training session at rural King today due to the inclement weather. Cairo, the smaller male dog, has a short attention span and is not highly motivated by food rewards; unless he receives immediate acknowledgment, he quickly loses interest. Thus, we have been focusing on enhancing his stamina during training.
These classes meeting us are $50 for the one hour session. For this week only we are offering 25% off when you purchase six sessions making it $225 for six classes.

Malachi and yasmela are going home from their short refresher stay. They have been very well behaved up until the moment they knew they were leaving so we sat at the doorway working for about 20 minutes on relaxing and staying and Malachi stopping his snippiness when he's not getting his way. Like a typical English bulldog Malachi likes to test it's boundaries when being corrected or redirected. His owner had told us that he was giving issues with being put on the leash and when you have to grab him. He has been a perfect angel for us these last two weeks up until it was time to leave he knows when his bag gets packed it's time to go home. So that's when the training really started. There are a few things that we're going to work with the owner on getting him relaxed again. He's 9 years old and he still has a few bad habits like snatching a pillow and refusing to give it back. Yami kind of slacked off on a little bit of girl obedience so we kind of refreshed with that. Other than that she has been very well behaved and always a joy to have with us.
