E-collar training for the win! Proofing the place command so Zazie doesn’t bombard guests when they first arrive. No more bolting out the front door and running off 🙌🏻, and having an off leash recall! At this stage, since she’s still in the learning/proofing process, we still have a safety net in place by using a long line. Once she’s more reliable, she’ll be able to have full E-collar freedom 😎

Like getting some cleaning done in the kitchen. Rather than him wandering around and possibly getting into something or being in the way, I’m giving him direction of what I’d like him to do; which is hold a down. Good job Duke!

Puppy Training
Puppies need so much structure, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while doing it, or that you need to take time out of your day to “train”. Every interaction you have with your dogs, especially puppies, teaches them something.
So while Adele is having free time with my dog outside, we are also working on her recall and ensuring that she has a long line on just in case I need to reinforce what I’m asking for. Same thing when I’m eating lunch, she doesn’t need to be wandering around the house with me wondering what she’s getting into or if she’s had an accident somewhere, she can learn how to hold a down while also learning to respect space when people are eating. This way you’re able to include your dog more, while also teaching good habits and boundaries!
