Good morning,
We wanted to give a quick update on Dr. Eva’s health journey. She did have a successful surgery last Friday on her ankle! She is at home now and recovering. She will be out of the office until at least after Labor Day. We are hopeful she will be able to start half days after that. In the meantime, us girls will be here if you need food, prescription refills, or have questions. Thank you to all of our clients and patients for understanding while she is out of office. ❤️

We are just a little over a week away from July 4th! Are you prepared to keep your four-legged family safe and happy? If you are needing any type of sedation, please don’t wait till the last minute. Fireworks are legal inside the city limits of Clay Center, as early as June 27, 2024.

‼️🚨Plan Ahead🚨‼️

The Fourth of July is almost here!! Here are some ways to help keep your pets safe and calm.

🧨Keep Pets Indoors and Provide a Quiet Place (i.e. bathroom, closet or bedroom with bedding)

🧨Give them Distractions (i.e special treats, toys, bones, kongs, leave on a radio, TV, fans, or white noise)

🧨Microchip and ID Pets

🧨Walk/Exercise Earlier in the Day

🧨Visit with your Veterinarian (to discuss what calming products they recommend for your pets)

If you have a new pet, and do not know how they will react to fireworks, please be cautious and plan ahead for any potential situation.

Please do not wait until it is too late!💓🐾

Good morning!

We wanted to update on Dr. Eva’s health journey. She is back as of now! Although her scooter will be her friend for awhile yet, she is buzzing around the office and taking appointments. There are some things she is limited on, but if you call to make an appointment, us girls will let you know if we need to refer. 🛴

There will be at least one more reconstructive surgery for her yet. But before that happens, the bone needs time to heal. She is following doctors orders, and only doing what is allowed. Us girls and her family are making sure of it! 😉

As always, we appreciate your support and understanding through her health journey. Although the journey seems longer than we’d like it to be, that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. 🌟

We will keep everyone updated when the next surgery comes around. 🐾

01/05/2024

Good afternoon,

We wanted to give an update on Dr. Eva and her personal progress with her health.

Today she went in for another surgery on her ankle. All went well with this surgery, but there will potentially be more surgeries, to fix what did not heal correctly from the last surgery. We hope to have her back in office within a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, us girls will be here to help with what we can. We will be open normal business hours. If you have medical needs, you can call, and we will give guidance. But please understand, we may need to refer you to another Veterinarian until Dr. Eva is able to be back in the office.

We appreciate your understanding, and we too know this has been a long haul. But, we are grateful her health is moving in the right direction again so she can be completely healed. As always prayers are appreciated. 🙏🏼

Thank you,
Court Street Veterinary Care Staff

*** She’s FOUND Safe!!****

Blackie is our clinic Kitty, as many of you know. We always put her in the kitty room at night for her safety. Tonight, when we went to find her, we could not. We think she escaped out the door at some point today. She does have a collar on, and is not declawed. If you see her, please let us know. We are praying she is safe!

Hello!
Some of you already knew, but we wanted to share with everyone that Dr. Eva went in today, for what is hopefully her last surgery. She had surgery to repair her ankle.

We just heard from her husband that surgery went well!

Now the recovery process begins! We know that Dr. Eva will be back as soon as she possibly can (more than likely a little too soon 😉).

In the meantime, us girls are in the office to assist with questions, refill of meds, grooms, and food sales. Any medical though will need to be seen by another Veterinarian, and Salava’s office is available to help our clients while Dr. Eva recovers.

Prayers for a quick uneventful recovery are appreciated and we appreciate your patience while she takes the needed time to fully recover. When she is back to taking appointments we will update everyone here.

Thank you!

We will be closed tomorrow morning Saturday Sept 24, 2022. Dr. Eva will be out of state. Sorry for the inconvenience and we will be back in the office on Monday! Have a great weekend!

Good morning! Just letting everyone know that our quarantine has ended and Dr. Eva is feeling better. We are back open for business! We are still doing curbside at this time. Thanks for everyone’s patience and well wishes the last 10 plus days. ❤️🐾

01/08/2021

Yesterday we found out that Dr. Eva tested positive for Covid. Right now besides the loss of taste and smell, and signs of a head cold, her symptoms are mild. We pray that she has a full recovery with no long term side effects. 🙏🏼 With her testing positive though, we will have to close the clinic doors until Jan 18. 😔 McKenzie and I will have to be in quarantine until then, if not longer, depending on if we develop signs too.

As you know, we have tried very hard to avoid this from happening. But, with well laid plans, things still happen. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes. We ask that if you have medical needs, you call Dr. Salava’s office at 785-632-5090 or Dr. Noffsinger’s office at 786-632-2110. We will periodically be checking the answering machine too. If you have run out of essential medication and need a refill, please leave a message with your name and phone number and we will get back with you as soon as we can.

We will be contacting those who have appointments scheduled in the next 10 days, to reschedule. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we appreciate prayers for Dr. Eva. Thank you to all of our clients and patients, and we pray you stay healthy!

We will close at noon today, and we’ll be back open on Monday Jan 4, 2021. Happy New Year!

We will be open Christmas Eve, December 24, until noon. We will then be closed on Friday December 25 and Saturday December 26, but will be back open on Monday for normal business hours. Everyone enjoy your holiday, and thank you!

09/04/2020

Congratulations to Dr. Eva Standlea, on being awarded BPW’s Business of the year for 2019/20! Those of us that work for her, know what a great business she has, but being acknowledged by BPW is so appreciated! It is an award we’ll deserved! 👏🏼 Thank you to our local BPW ladies for doing so much for our community!

05/08/2020

Since Governor Kelly has announced the phased approach for reopening the Kansas economy, we are all eager to transition to the new normal in our community. We will continue to keep you informed of our policies and how we will approach business at the veterinary clinic during this unprecedented time.

With the information regarding the health situation changing on a daily basis, we will be taking a careful approach in determining our plan for reopening our lobby. As of right now, we will continue to keep our lobby closed, by doing curbside service. If you have an appointment we will come out and get your pet, and take it in for it’s appointment while you wait in the car. We will then bring your pet back to you after the appointment and discuss medical plans. We ask for your understanding during this time. As you know our lobby is small, and keeping the 6 ft social distancing is impossible. The health and well-being of our clients and employees is our top priority. And please understand that if one of us girls would happen to become sick, our vet clinic would have to be closed completely for at least a two week time span.

At this time we do not have a date determined for lobby services to resume, but we will continue to update you on Facebook and by posted signs on our lobby door. Thank you for your continued patience and dedication to being a part of flattening the curve and protecting our community.

Dr. Eva, Janel, and McKenzie

03/23/2020

Good morning!
We have decided it’s time to close our lobby for the time being. There will be a sign on the front door, asking you to not come in, but call first. If you are needing food or product, you can call us, let us know what you need, even pay with a card over the phone, and we will then bring it to your car. (785-632-3555) We are still here for medical cases, and appointments that have been scheduled, as of now. If any of that changes we will call you, and also update on Facebook. Thank you for your patience during the changing times. Our advice is to stay home if you can and keep washing you hands!
