Hi! My name is Troy, and I’m a 100 pound plus Cane Corso. I’m a lean mean fightin machine, until I get to know you, and then I lick you all over:) My hobbies are counter surfing, pulling on leash, not listening, jumping up on people, and paying attention to everything. I’ve enrolled at HMP cause my Mom and Dad think I’ve chosen “not so good” hobbies, so I’m learning new ones like not pulling on the leash, listening, and not paying attention to everything. And u know what, life is not so intense all the time anymore😊 This “being calm” stuff is for real!
Hey, I’m Sadie, a Golden Retriever. I joined HMP for just a few reasons. I joined because I jump on people, and because I pull during walks. Oh - and I counter-surf. Oh yeah - and I don’t always come when I’m called. One more thing - I don’t always listen. Now that I think of it, I also put everything I can find in my mouth when walking, and… forget it. I guess it’s more than a couple of things. But! I can say I’m getting much better at “my couple of things.”😊
Hi! We are Dutton (left) and Dallas:) We are Labs and we are brothers. We are happy to see you always, or not, but we will rush the door to see you every time. I guess we get too excited sometimes, and when that happens we just can’t stop. We want to love you, but we just have to make sure about you. Then came HMP and come to find out, we don’t have to get so excited. As a matter of fact, we are learning that most of the time we can let our human Mommy and Daddy handle the situation and just mind our own business! Whew! That’s a load off our shoulders😊
So I don’t have a forever name or home yet, but I was just hanging out with Uncle “G” from HMP. He come to see me and my 9 brothers and sisters (we are 3 weeks old), and my 10 cousins (who are four weeks old). Many of us are still looking for a home, so if you want giant loving like no other, reach out, and we’ll give u a lifetime of it!
What? It’s time to train again? Ok - my name is Nabe, and I’m a Bullmastiff, and I’m a clown. Nothin but jokes with me:) I started with HMP cause, well, I’m a puppy, and I do puppy things. I’m learning how to make good decisions, and live in the human world. I have a big advantage because my Mommy and Daddy really care about me. They are super patient with me, which allows me to be who I am - a clown!

I’m perfect! I’m just like a two year old human, running around, jumping on things, not paying attention, always getting into stuff…oh…wait…ok - so I need training…
Hi - my name is Finn, and I’m a German Shepherd dog. I met HMP when he came and rescued me from my adopted parent who didn’t want me anymore (I’m on the site when HMP picked me ). My parents before that cut off a piece of my ear because it had gangrene. Needless to say, I’m afraid of most things, and my confidence is pretty low. That is until I was again adopted by wonderful people who actually love me, and they enrolled me with HMP. I’m learning how to go on walks without being afraid. I’m learning how to trust my owners, and they are learning how to talk to me in ways I can understand. Life is so much better since feeling so much real love😊
Hey there - my name is Zooko, and I’m a Siberian Husky. My Dad enrolled me in HMP, and well, it’s kinda easy. I’m only 14 weeks old, and on my first day I was like, middle? 5 seconds later, I’m in Middle. Recall? 5 seconds later I got it. Be patient? 10 seconds later, I’m patient. Get on my boundary on command? Ok. That was a little harder. 30 seconds. Bottom line, I think they’re going to let me skip a grade😊
Hey - my Name is Amos, and I’m a Labradoodle. I like taking my owner for walks. I go left, they go left. I go right, they go right. I pull, they walk faster. It was a great system - until - HMP. So they claimed that a walk with your dog is not about control, but it’s about communication. Like talking through the leash, and actually having a conversation while I walk with my owner! It’s actually fun when I thought about it and experienced it:) I think I kinda like the idea:)
What’s goin on! My name is Diesel, and I’m a Golden Retriever, and I like to PARTY!! We going for a walk? Let’s party! We gonna eat? Let’s party! We gonna sleep? Let’s party! Since I am the party animal that I am, my parents enrolled me in HMP. Come to find out, I don’t have to party all the time! To tell u the truth, it was kind of exhausting. I mean, I still like a good time, but I’m learning that I don’t have to be the life of the party all the time, and that I can sit back and just chill every once in a while. It feels good too! But when it’s time for me to take the lead, watch out, cause I still like to PARTAE!!!
My name is Marcie, and I’m a chihuahua, pit, dachshund, and some other things, mix. But I’m really just a dog. And as a dog, I attack everything. Doesn’t matter how big, small, wide, I’m going to bite it. Cause isn’t that what dogs do? Can I get an Amen? Wait, what? That’s not what we do? This HMP place is saying that I can get along with most things, and really just ignore the things I think I have to attack? You mean, I’ve been wasting my energy? I can actually relax and sleep more? I think I’m going to give HMP a try. And hey, if it doesn’t work, I’ll bite him too😂

So my name is Rambo, and I’m a 4yr old Pit/Bulldog Mix. Why the name Rambo? Well, cause I’ll go “Rambo” on you if you mess with me! Just kidding… I’m really just a sweet and loving little guy who loves his new home…until I’m not and then I go Rambo! Anyway, it’s why I joined HMP. I’m learning that going Rambo is not always the best thing, and as a matter of fact, I can actually live a calm life and just relax with my Mommy and her Mommy. It actually feels so much better, and it makes them happy, so I’m happy!! Anyway, I think my Rambo days are coming to an end, and I’ll just be a chilled version of Rambo - until I’m not… Just sayin…
My name is Skye, and I’m a Pit that has to deal with the reputation we have. I do bark at people, but I’m not mean. People may think I am, but I’m not, and I’m highly intelligent. My Mom had me join HMP to see if I can change my image, and show people that I’m actually a pretty loving girl. I really love my Mommy, and I want her to be proud of me. If you ask me, I’m knocking it out of the park with HMP - just sayin😁
My name is Valentina. I’m an extremely smart young lady, and I don’t trust many human beings (except for my Daddy, Mommy, and my Little Brother - I ❤️ them). Can you blame me? I will notice your every move. I will react to your every move. I will respond to your every - wait, what?!? HMP says, and is showing me, I don’t have to think everyone is the enemy?!? Not everyone is out to get me?!? I can nap instead of pay attention all the time?!? Whew!! I thought I was going to have to do this all my life. So relieved I can actually chill❤️
Hi - my name is Tia, aka Teetee, and I provide security on the grounds of HMP (I’m also the owner’s niece). I just happened to be doing my rounds, and I was about to announce “ALL CLEAR” when this pic was taken. I am 12 pounds of pure fury (ok, make that 11)… and I really like sitting on my uncle’s lap and licking his face:)

It’s been said that I bark a lot (ok, I bark too much), but I’m a dog, and that’s what we do - at everything, at other dogs, people, at…wait - what?!? I don’t have to bark at everything? I can be calm most of the day and relax? And I can learn this with help from HMP? I know I’m a dog, but to be chillin most of the day sure sounds relaxing to me! Hey everyone! My name is Elenor, and I’m a 2.5 year old Akita. I was living in the street, basically dying, when my Dad found me under a shed at his friend’s house. I was 6 months old, and in really bad shape. My Dad took me home and fixed me up, even fixed my eyes! I joined HMP because I react to a few things. I react to other dogs, people I don’t know, chickens, uhhh, well, I react to a lot of things. Anyway, HMP is showing me that I don’t have to react to these things, and that I can live a calmer life. Such a relief to know there are other, much easier, options for me😊😊
What’s up! My name is Diogie, and I’m a young pit mix. I love my Mommy a lot, and I follow her wherever she goes, and I do whatever she asks. But I do get a little anxious and nervous some times. So I decided to come to HMP so they could help me with that. So far, I’m learning that living a calm life is kinda, well, cool. Hey!! My name is Banshee, and I’m a German Shepherd/chow mix. I’m a perfect dog - beautiful, smart, loyal to my owner, and did I mention smart? Yeah - those Border Collies ain’t got nothin on me! But one thing though, I kinda lose it during thunder storms. HMP is helping me with my confidence and optimism, because other than that, I’m perfect:) Did I mention I’m beautiful??
Hello there! My name is Pearl, and I’m an Australian Shepherd. Overall, I’m perfect, if I may say. The only thing with me is that I may not always come when I’m called, but I’m an Aussie Shepherd! I got things to do when I’m outside! So in steps HMP, and they taught me how if I come when called, it’s a great deal to go to my owner. In fact, it’s become a much better deal than anything else😃 Other than that, I must emphasize, I’m perfect❤️
Hey! I’m Diamond, and I’m a German Shepherd 5 month old puppy. I joined HMP to get puppy training cause my Mommy said I have too much energy, and that I don’t come when I’m called, I play rough, and I - well you get the picture. But since joining HMP I’m learning another way of life. Who knew that if I make good decisions, great things happen. Who can turn down a deal like that! As you can see in the picture, I kind of love my trainer❤️, and I’m learning a lot of new things at HMP😃
Hey there:) My name is Kilo, and I’m a Cattle Dog Mix. I’m a little over 2 years old, and I’ve been told that I’m a “good boy” a lot. I’ve been getting up in the middle of the night lately to use the bathroom, and it was really feeling like the right thing to do. But HMP showed me that sleeping all night was a better option. Who knew?!? I apologized to my Mommy for getting up at night for me. I felt really bad because she just adopted me and she is soooo good to me:)
Hi:) My name is Beanie, and I’m a 200lb BoerBoel. People are really afraid of me, but what they don’t know is that I think I’m more afraid of them! Since I scare easily, I instinctually snap if I’m scared, but I don’t want to hurt anyone. Some trainers before HMP recommended that I be put down, but HMP saw me for who I was, and is now helping me with my confidence, and with my relationship with my Mom - who I love dearly by the way❤️ Life is so much better😊
My name is Josie, and I’m here with HMP, and my brother Jasper. HMP came by cause my brother has some issues. I can relax most of the day, but my brother is, or now I can say was, a mess. Always paying attention to everything! But nowadays he is pretty chill - even likes to play again instead of being so serious! I’m happy with the change. Now I can go back to napping regularly:)
Hi! My name is Max, and I’m a BIG German Shepherd dog. I’m really good and really smart, but sometimes I can get too excited. Especially when the small members of my family are running around. So I joined HMP and I’m starting to learn that I don’t have to pay attention to everything, and I can sleep during the day! It’s amazing! Now I feel refreshed and ready to go when I’m up, and if there’s nothing to do, well, I get on my boundary and take a nap! Now that’s the life❤️
Hey there! My name is Ruby, and I’m a Boston Terrier - 14 weeks old. I like to run and have fun, and run and have fun, and then I run and have more fun. Then, HMP shows up, and I’m learning to not run so much because it’s actually ok to be calm and rest from time to time. When I do that, I can actually hear what my lovely owner is asking of me. Next time, as I practice calmness more and more, I’ll be able to take a picture without someone holding me😃
I’m Finn, and I’m having trouble finding a home. Someone adopted me, and then decided they didn’t want me after, like, one day. I was at risk of being put down, but then Rusty’s Rescue came to the, well, rescue! Honor my Paws provided me with transportation to one of my favorite people - Jordan. She is a foster at Rusty’s, and a great trainer too. All I’m looking for is someone to adopt me and give me a chance. You know, like Rusty’s Rescue has❤️
My name is Loki, and I’m an 8 month old Husky. I’m handsome and I’m smart. Show me and I learn immediately. I’m pretty much a perfect dog, and I let other dogs know it when I see them on walks! Oh yeah, that’s why I joined HMP. Guess I’m not suppose to be doing that… Anyway, did I mention that I’m beautiful and smart??
