Missy Mae is just the cutest surgical patient! She got spayed today (to help prevent certain types of cancers and unwanted heat cycles), and she has her own surgical suit to wear during recovery. She is such a cute model and loved getting snuggles.

Due to severe road conditions with the snowstorm and concerns for safety we will have the following closures:

While Dr. Richardson is out enjoying her maternity leave (coming back in April), you might notice a new face in the hospital. We are lucky to have Dr. Charles Robinson III working with us while she is on leave. Please make him feel welcome when you meet him!

Dr. Charles Robinson III was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Animal Science. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Charles Robinson III is a small animal practitioner with a special interest in surgery, dermatology, holistic medicine, and hospice care. He is married to the love of his life and best friend, Christine Albritton-Robinson, DVM. They are parents to an amazing young man, Charles Robinson IV, aka Robbie. He loves spending time with his family, friends, church, and fraternity brothers in his spare time. He thoroughly enjoys traveling, working out, public speaking, food, and personal development.

How cute is Bowie, a newfoundland puppy!

Did you know that a newfie was the inspiration for "Nana" the dog in Peter Pan. Disney changed the breed to a St. Bernard when they made the movie adaptation.

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Dr. Richardson’s precious baby boy Lennox! 🩵 He quickly made his arrival yesterday weighing 7 lb 8 oz. Dr. Richardson and baby are all doing well. 🩵 Congrats mama!

Hello, Clayton Community and neighboring towns!

I am honored to be part of the Stonewater family and look forward to serving all your beloved pets. Originally from Grenada, West Indies—fondly known as the “Isle of Spice”—I earned my Bachelor’s and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degrees from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. I completed my clinical training at Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2008 and graduated in 2009.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience working in various small animal hospitals across the U.S., including a feline-only practice. My family and I moved to Clayton five years ago, and I’ve since developed a special interest in feline medicine, exotic animals, and preventative care.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, practicing taekwondo and yoga, attending my kids’ sporting events, and reading. At home, we’re loved by our family cat, Mr. Nibbles.

I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you and care for your cherished furry companions!
